Very friendly staff, couldn't be more helpful. The park is very old and the cabins look like they need a facelift. As I discovered all people in the cabins are living there as permanents residents. I was surprised that they are mostly Island people and the office seem to have a great rapport with them, especially the children who are... More

We stayed there for 3nights found residents happy to talk to us we had car problems we went to pay for an extra night found. Office closed at 3pm note on window not opened to the day we had a very rude lady who said she was the manager knocking on our door telling us we should have vacated our... More

Amenities were clean. BUT there are empty cans, packets, pieces of plastic, fallen branches, sundry pieces of rubbish all over the place. Boards surrounding the 'garden' at rear of van parking area have fallen over and just been left. It is a disgrace. Cabins look like a gypsy camp. Occupants should be made to tidy/clean up. Power outlets that don't... More

I think it would be true to say that if we had read the reviews of this caravan park we would have gone somewhere else, but it was our alternative choice and there was a vacancy, to we showed up. My wife was a bit worried when we drove through. It had a pretty downmarket look and was untidy. The... More

Having travelled extensively during the last 3 years around all the states of Australia, I have to say this is the worst campsite that I have experienced. We booked for a couple of nights, although no money changed hands thankfully, and when we got there the office was closed so we had a look at the site. There was nothing... More

My husband and I are travelling with our 2 young children. We felt completely unsafe I would NEVER EVER EVER recommend to stay here!!! We were told 5 minutes after rocking up to LOCK everything. we were put right up the back and random people were walking along the creek bed. Bad fences and no boom gate.. anyone could just... More

An absolute disgrace. We were booked in for 3 nights but checked out the next morning with a refund. The behaviour of the drunkard backpackers was disgraceful. I continually rung the managers number until someone picked up to request immediate help with the screaming and shouting of a group of backpackers. This went on until 1 in the morning. I... More

Like other reviews I too was let down here. Our key broke in our room door and after trying to call the 24 hr number for 2 hours we had to go and check into another hotel for the night. Walking through Manunda at midnight is not a safe practice as anyone in Cairns knows. The cabin was not in... More

I was originally booked in for 2 weeks with my daughter, and although it looked wonderful on the website, the reality was anything but! The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful at checkin, but it rapidly went downhill from there. Cabin was badly run down and although the sheets were clean, the covers were badly stained and covered... More

I found Cairns Villa in a book of caravan parks and a tourism book of Queensland. I booked 2 nights stay from the suburbs of Sydney. I arrived exhausted after a 47 hour journey. The office was closed. I did find a staff member who was kind and helped me pitch my tent. Then the horrors began. I was told... More
