Me and three friends stayed here around a month ago and it was amazing, one of the best hostels I've stayed in in Oz, definitely beats the standard Nomads/Base!! When in Cairns, you should stay at Koalas Beach Resort. It is close to everything, shops, bars and restaurants, everything you need while on holiday. The staff were very helpful with all my questions and recommended some great things to do and see. More

When I booked I did not know it was a backpackers hostel. As I did not pay backpacker price. Room was old, cushions covers old and dirty, shower had mould and mould and scum on the shower door.
