Great Location close to everything Nice breakfast dining area The room had louvres and let in light, you couldn't open the windows because they were fixed. This hotel has potential and needs a good tidy up. Bathroom was tired. Staff were mostly pleasant.

While the hotel look fabulous from the outside, the room was in need of maintenance. I was welcome by a long black hair in the bath, either from the housekeeping maid, or the previous guest. Very noisy during day time as constructions on site. Bed was very uncomfortable. The wall in the bathroom were showing pop out paint, and the... More

The hotel was good but the staff were very unwelcoming! Not even a hello on check in. Products in the bathroom recycled most likely not Milton brown but the old containers refilled. The room was small but fine. Shame about the rude staff, nothing worst.

We only had 2 nights in Cairns and wanted a cheaper hotel and found this place on Holiday website at a good price. However, rooms are tired and not the cleanest (especially bathroom). Property is in a great location and can easily walk anywhere centrally. The hotel needs a serious injection of capital to upgrade. Too many cost saving issues:... More

Sausages, REAL milk for coffee, International Roast isn't REAL coffee either, Fried... More

Central location and easy walk to the water and cairns city. The hotel itself looked very tired, especially the bathrooms. The hotel was really noisy and you can hear anyone walking past your room. Staff and breakfast were great.

My husband and I recently spent 3 nights at The Hotel Cairns in a very clean, comfortable room with very attractive decor plus a large ensuite, The Queenslander style of the hotel was most attractive as was the restaurant and pool area being surrounded by tropical plants. Free wifi and an extensive selections available for the free breakfast were an... More

We stayed in a twin room for one night and found it spacious and clean. The beds were verry comfortable and had the best pillows ever. The bathroom had a large bathtub with a fixed half-screen and the biggest shower head that I have ever seen anywhere. If you have mobility issues you may find it difficult stepping out of... More

I have read the complaints re The Hotel Cairns. As the saying goes you will never please every oneall the time. My wife and I spent 4 days in the hotel, front of house staff go out of there way to help. When we asked where the best place was to hire a car, I was told (don't be silly... More
