We stayed at Hotel Cairns for one night because we had some problem with dive liveaboard accommodation, and was referred to there by the dive shop. The hotel was way beyond my expectation. Clean and nice facilities, and very good location. Very good value for money!!

To be honest The Hotel Cairns was my second choice of accommodation after booking an apartment a few streets away. Imagine my surprise after arriving at the hotel as to how spacious and quiet the ground room was, especially being New Years Eve. I love this hotel and stayed here for five nights. With the tropical Cairns heat, the white... More

We arrived around 1:00am. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Location is great, you can walk to all the shops, bars, restaurants, and supermarkets. Near the hotel are this mangos tres full of hundred of bats!!!!! It was so cool to watch them fly around but it can be a little bet noisy. They have free wifi and room... More

Arrived in Cairns quite late in the evening, not having booked ahead. This was their last room, but I spite of that, they said if we booked over the internet, we would save $20. A good and friendly start. The room was well used and worn, the marble tiles showing their age, but it was spotlessly clean. This hotel has... More

My Girlfriend and I stayed here for one night to catch a train down the coast the next day. This place was amazing, I loved the design. It felt like a tropical plantation with open balconies all the way around. the rooms had floor to ceiling california shutters! everything looked very up to date (except the taps on the sink/shower,... We arrived at The Hotel Cairns at 10.30am on the 19th November 2014. We were too early to check in to the Hotel so we chilled around the pool for 3 hours. It was a very hot day and we were tired. The receptionist allowed us to store our bags, he was very friendly and helpful. The Hotel was of... More

Stayed 4 nights. Ist night on first floor annex was a little noisy, so moved to 4th floor which was luxurious and quiet with large private balcony and huge room! It's getting a little dated and worn, but that 1980's Singaporian Raffles feel and great position makes it good value for money. Super helpful and friendly staff, nice pool and... More

I have stayed at the Hotel Cairns a number of times and have always found it to be a highlight of our stay in Cairns- it has that old colonial feel about it- bright white roomy open and green. The lipstick palms and greenery persist. It is only block back from the busy esplanade. The hotel is anticipating new owners... More

I booked this hotel for a great rate off hotels.com about CAD $94 a night for a city view with a king bed for 3 nights (Really just two singles pushed together but still comfy!). Warwick greeting me upon my late night arrival and he was helpful in every way and made my stay very pleasant. This hotel has a... More
