We recently stayed at the Queenslander in Cairns. The hotel rooms were clean and spacious but quite outdated in terms of furniture. We found the price to be quite good though for Australia. If you are looking for fancy and trendy, definitely not the right place for you, but if you are looking for a comfortable and affordable place to... More

Room configuration is bad and noisy at some rooms. Poor maintenance! They've never fixed an aircon that has water dripping every few seconds, get worse at night time, the dripping get louder. This was reported to them after our 2nd day there, till the end of our stay there for more than 10 days. Poor room service as well, never... More

We have stayed at his hotel during our long trip around Australia. About this hotel I have to say "Never again" Just first night we have had a very bad experience with our neighbours (room 213) - noisy, drunk, maybe drugs...I had complain many time on staff ....after 3 hours he called police....horrible night... I expected for some excuse, satisfaction... More

Dear Radek J Thank you for taking the time to post a review. The hotel provides a 24 hour manned reception and security and they reported the issue you reported was resolved immediately. We do hope you will return to Cairns and this wonderful tropical north region of Queensland. Kind regards Stani T More

This hotel (currently staying at) is good for the budget. Under $600 for 5 nights accomodation with continental breakfast included. Personally, I wouldn't stay here again. I found that the maid service is a bit slack. Our room has been "serviced" twice and we are almost at the end of our stay. And by service I mean:- bed was made... More

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment for ten days. firstly the bed was comfy, the air-con was very cold and we had a washer and dryer which was handy but that's all I can say that was good ! On the downside WiFi was terrible, rooms were constantly late in being made up, often they didn't leave us enough... More

Hi Ross & Karen T Thank you for your review and the mention that the bed was comfy and the air-con during Cairns warmer months was working perfectly. Most certainly this room type that included washing machine and dryer would have been essential for your 10 night stay with us. Regarding Wifi Cairns is a regional City and NBN will... More

Pretty tired complex. There are 2 pools but they are quite small. Rooms were ok but nothing to write home about. Glad we were only here for a few nights. Would not have liked to have been here for a whole week. We stayed here for a few nights before basing ourselves in Port Douglas for remainder of our holiday.... More

Stayed a week here recently and found the accommodation pleasant, clean and roomy. The rooms are a good size and very quiet considering they're on a busy street. Nice restaurant and good facilities in the room. Although we were lacking a toaster and a clothes airer would have been nice as the washer/dryer took a very long time to do... More

We booked a 3 night stay. We paid for a deluxe Jasmine room. The room itself was OK, but we had a problem with the toilet leaking all over the bathroom floor. We noticed the first day we arrived and reported it to the front desk. This is obviously a health hazard, my son slipped and could of hurt himself... More

Dear Mirella L Thank you for your review. The drip of freshwater within the toilet area was accessed by our maintenance dept and could only be repaired by a plumber. Unfortunately, there was a delay in the plumber arriving at the property due to the Xmas break . Most certainly there was no external toilet water present, therefore, no health... More

Simple but large rooms, with mini bar and kitchen apparels. Well located, 10min from city centre - about AUD 10 one way by taxi and AUD 15 from/to the airport. You can also walk, but depending on weather, can be hard because of the sun - no shadows. There is a convenience store, pizza hut and other options close buy.... More

I went with my parents and my husband. We rented two rooms that we booked through bookings.com. On the advertisement they offer full equipped kitchen which was not what we found on arrival. You can only have your own breakfast. They do have a restaurant outside but it was overpriced for us. Internet service is terrible, we could barely connect.... More
