Pretty tired complex. There are 2 pools but they are quite small. Rooms were ok but nothing to write home about. Glad we were only here for a few nights. Would not have liked to have been here for a whole week. We stayed here for a few nights before basing ourselves in Port Douglas for remainder of our holiday.... More

Stayed a week here recently and found the accommodation pleasant, clean and roomy. The rooms are a good size and very quiet considering they're on a busy street. Nice restaurant and good facilities in the room. Although we were lacking a toaster and a clothes airer would have been nice as the washer/dryer took a very long time to do... More

We booked a 3 night stay. We paid for a deluxe Jasmine room. The room itself was OK, but we had a problem with the toilet leaking all over the bathroom floor. We noticed the first day we arrived and reported it to the front desk. This is obviously a health hazard, my son slipped and could of hurt himself... More

Dear Mirella L Thank you for your review. The drip of freshwater within the toilet area was accessed by our maintenance dept and could only be repaired by a plumber. Unfortunately, there was a delay in the plumber arriving at the property due to the Xmas break . Most certainly there was no external toilet water present, therefore, no health... More

Simple but large rooms, with mini bar and kitchen apparels. Well located, 10min from city centre - about AUD 10 one way by taxi and AUD 15 from/to the airport. You can also walk, but depending on weather, can be hard because of the sun - no shadows. There is a convenience store, pizza hut and other options close buy.... More

I went with my parents and my husband. We rented two rooms that we booked through bookings.com. On the advertisement they offer full equipped kitchen which was not what we found on arrival. You can only have your own breakfast. They do have a restaurant outside but it was overpriced for us. Internet service is terrible, we could barely connect.... More

We had a five night stay and found our room comfortable, the staff helpful and friendly, and the location was great too. The monsoon shower was an added bonus. The Wi-Fi was fine once we worked out how to go to the extra step to join. All in all a very positive experience. Special thanks to Emma and Stani.

Staff very friendly and helpful but apartment very dated. Apartment clean but stifling hot when we arrived and the air conditioner took hours to make it bearable. Shower over the bath and cramped. Advertised as close to restaurants but you in fact need a car or taxi to reach them. Wi Fi advertised but wasn't working.

Dear Christine R Thank you for your review and mentioning our friendly staff and the apartment was clean, I will pass on your positive comments to our front office & housekeeping staff. In regard to nearby restaurants, besides our own very popular restaurant 'Steak on Lake' that serves affordable great tasting meals, there are also 6 other restaurants that are... More

We chose the Cairns Queeslander on price and location. It's a $20 taxi ride from the airport and a leisurely 25 minute walk to the Town Centre along the scenic esplanade. The reception staff were very helpful, the rooms are basic but clean they get a mini service daily with a major service every seven days. They have laundry facilities,... More

4 Night stay clean spacious room, friendly helpful staff on reception and in restaurant willing to do that little bit extra good advice on local tourist attractions and trips. Convenient for Barrier Reef, Rain Forest and Tablelands. Airport less than ten minutes drive. Cock and Bull pub just round the corner great meals well worth a visit. Easy walking distance... More

Second visit here. The hotel has had an upgrade since last visit ( which admittedly was 3-4 years ago ) and is good. Rooms are huge, clean, and very comfortable. The hotel has laundry facilities which are very welcome for tourers, as we were. Close to seafront in one direction and supermarket, bottle shop and chippy in the other. It... More
