Travelers' Oasis is a fantastically friendly hostel. The staff here go out of their way to make you feel at home and ensure you make the most out of your time in Cairns (and the rest of Oz!). We had such helpful advice from Helen, Marco and Micky - from day trips to the outer reef, and sailing tours around... More

This Hostel is incredible. I have stayed in a few hostels and none of them have even came close to this one. Everyone is super friendly and the vibe is very welcoming. I would recommend this hostel for everyone. The staff is extremely friendly and everything is very well kept. They also know everything about the area and will give... More

These two know how to run a hostel. As soon as I saw it I felt like I was home. I was welcomed by friendly faces with a plethora of information about the areas activities, restaurants, and bars. I had a single room at a very affordable price, 45 dollars. It had a bed, fridge, fan, and lost of hooks... More

Any short comings this place may have are totally absolved for the top notch service you get with the staff at Traveler's Oasis. These guys are the best. They treat you like a best friend and they are so helpful! Whether it is asking for tips on local eateries, or helping you plan your entire vacation, they do it all!... More

Travellers Oasis is a friendly little place, with excellent social area - a pool, barbecue, plenty of seating (although the lounge area is pretty small), two kitchens. They take plenty of time to advise and help organise other stuff too, such as tours and campervan hire. I'd definitely stay again.

I stayed at Traveller's Oasis 4 nights over the past week in a single room. I like staying in hostels because people are more social, but I'm at the point in my life where I also like having privacy and not having to worry about packing up my stuff every time I leave a room. This was the perfect balance... More

Worked here for accommodation and fell in love with the place straight away! Met our long lost (metaphorical) aussie family in the amazing staff and even while cleaning loos had such fun in this place. It couldn't be cleaner (you're welcome) and the staff and owners couldn't be more welcoming and helpful. Been to a few hostels in cairns-some very... More

This was such an amazing hostel. I stayed both here and its sister hostel, tropic days. Everyone at oasis was friendly and helpful, especially Helen and helped book all my tours. I will definitely go back!! The only thing was the bunk bed I was in was super squeaky, and I woke everyone up each time I got up, but... More

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in (I've been backpacking through Asia and Australia for 3 months and always stayed at hostels). The layout of the courtyard-like hostel environment makes it very attractive and friendly: it consist of three buildings with in the middle a little pool and two communal areas with picnic tables. The buildings in which... More

The staff (especially Helen) are very friendly. I appreciated that Helen showed me around the hostel when I first arrived. I stayed in a single room, which was fairly small, but decent. My room was located next to the picnic tables and it was difficult to fall asleep with all of the noise at night. The quiet after 10 pm... More
