After having an aweful experience at a large party-style hostel in Cairns, I was relieved to be welcomed by the staff at Travellers Oasis. We stayed here and were happy with the room and atmosphere- until they refused to let us store our luggage after check out, because they were closed from 12pm-4pm. Quite simply put; the best hostel in Cairns! I have stayed at this place twice now! Sure it isn dead centre in town and the showers arent the best in the world but the Great staff, friendly atmosphere and great vibes just make this place a home away from home! Thanks John and Clara! more

the best hostel i've stayed thus far. John, the owner, is really friendly and hospitable, helping arrange the various activities that we wanna go for. oh, and he has an excellent memory, being able to remember the name of every single traveller. if you do head to Cairns, stay here! more

Really nice warm caring people close to the western side of beautiful Cairns Australia. Next to a great down to earth and relaxed bar, known to backpackers as Greenant. Loads of information and friendly staff, great kitchen, internet, the best pool and so much more. more
