This hostel has great facilities, large lagoon style pool, beach volley ball etc. We booked a king room at a reasonable price and had our own ensuite & fridge. We were pretty impressed with the room. Shower was great, and the air con was free. The only downside to this was the staff. There was a rude guy (i think... More

This was one of the worst places I have stayed in on the whole of the East Coast. The staff were consistently rude and clearly didn't care one bit about helping you out. The bathrooms have little black flies everywhere, all over the toilet seats, in sinks. Upon telling the night manager one night the response was "make a formal... More

I stayed here for just one night on my way back from Lizard Island. This is a large fun backpackers with a nice looking pool and bar, and pretty much what you'd expect from a backpackers. It was pretty lively, and felt safe and clean. The room was sparse but nice and bright and the bed was super comfy and... More

Read title of review, Enough said..... This place is the bomb! We recently came up to Cairns for the Cairns Cup horse meeting and had a great weekend. When I checked in I met the beautiful Marion Dutertre who went out of her way to make our stay very enjoyable. She was always smiling and helpful. I highly recommend staying... More

My stay started with a warm welcome and efficient and quick check-in by Marion (speaks fluently English, Dutch and French). She walked me up to my room and offered to help me with carrying my luggage. I had to change some of my booking dates and Marion helped me quickly with no fuss. I stayed in a Queen and King... More

I stayed here for about a month and it was definitely the most comfortable and accommodating of hostels I have stayed in (been in Australia 10 months now). Yes it is out of central town but they have a shuttle to and from town every hour. It is spitting distance from the end of the esplanade so you can stroll... More

Arrived around 6.30am to find no-one at the reception to book us in so we had to wait at the siting area until the guy arrived. He had slept in and was apologetic. We didn't mind to be fair as we were just happy to be in Australia coming from Scotland. I stupidly went for a couple of hours sleep... More

We stayed there quiet long at the end of our trip. It was good, nice staff, nice place. The only annoying thing is to get a bus to the city center which is quiet far to walk there, but very easy to go to the airport. Big kitchen, nice bar and swimming pool. They also offer free trips to discover... More

As a group we stayed here late in the day as a stop over before an Early flight out of Cairns in the morning. Room were tidy and fine. Toilets and Amenities were clean too. As we checked in a big party group of Tourists were leaving on buses, looked like they were hitting the town. As a result go... More

People working there are really nice and helpful. Especially I recomend travel agency based in the hall - they\ll offer you nice and quite cheap trips. But the hostel itself was rather dirty and very damp. AC in the room was old and not working very well. Anyway the outdoors pool was very nice and free bus to the city... More
