There were sugar ants walking on the bathroom vanity, on the bedside table and on / in the bed between the sheets. I notified Reception and was moved from standard room on the 4th floor to a deluxe room on the 9th floor

My friend and I stayed for one night in a Double Queen Room. Although the room was adequate for our needs I would not return based on the lack of sleep quality. Firstly, our room was situated with Grafton street to our left, right opposite Gilligan's (think party backpackers) where, on a Friday night, the noise reached the 6th floor... More

Lobby nice, girl at front desk lovely. Rooms tired, paint on doors chipped. Balcony is 2 feet wide so no chance of sitting to enjoy a view. Thought I'd eat in the restaurant. Went to bar to order. Girl said "just a minute" and disappeared. I waited then thought "bugger it, I'll get room service." Back to room to place... More

Overall not to bad a place. Bathrooms need a refresh but rest of the room neat and tidy and comfortable. Meals in the restaurant quite nice but the hotel needs to employ more staff. 1 person to attend to bar, waiting on the tables and also room service. Service level of the staff member was good when able to given... More

Front of house staff pleasant. Good location. Comfortable. But seriously tired. I wouldn't say don't try it but know what you are getting. The location in the heart of town is good but the rooms are dated. Clean and appointed with what you need for the basics. But the bathroom is dated with shower curtain to drape into the bath.... Stayed here many of times as it is located right in the city even though the rooms are filthy mouldy and stink, it was good just to stay when going on a night out. Last week we stayed there and upon arriving back the Reception guy refused to let us up as we had a friend with us and wanted... More

Average hotel with small reception area and rooms in need of renovation (peeling paint, broken tiles in bathroom for example). Staff were pleasant and helpfull, and the rooms were well serviced. Central location and unfortunately we had a room on the side of the hotel close to a nightclub which even on a Sunday sent out an annoying bass beat... More

This stay was just OK nothing special nothing to good. This place has the potential to offer great service. The restaurant bar area needs a but more flair and some people. Rooms have been OK. A modern upgrade would help. Price was too high for what it was.

I've stayed previously and as before this place is nothing special at all. Very sterile, I mean decoratively speaking. Cold reception area, stark. Staff were thin on the ground through our stay. We are out while there. I would not pay my own dollar to stay here at all. It's just not that nice. It's close to everything and functional.... More

Stayed 2 nights and will not return. Room 813 smelt damp as did the public area and there appeared to be mould on the carpet in the room and hallways. The air conditioning vent was black as was the ceiling where the air blew out. Curtains were dirty and falling down as were the hems. The hard furniture seems new... More
