Had a much better experience at this hotel this time around . Much better room and service very good . Hotel is in a good location and close to restaurants and casino and walking distance to night markets and esplanade.Breakfast menu quite good also.

I really don't know if it is due to the "styles" but this Ibis is much better than the many regular Ibis I have stayed. Actually it was best hotel of our Australia/New Zealand trip. Recently had occasion to travel to Cairns for business on short notice and booked into this hotel. The room was extremely comfortable with both air conditioning and ceiling fan. It is within walking distance to the convention centre (15 mins level walk) and only 2 blocks from the water. Generous breakfast and very pleasant staff who were only too happy... More

Rooms were very dated but clean. good spot and reasonable price. Free wifi is a bonus. Car parking was non existent and had to park in the street. Staff were friendly and helpful. Otherwise a great place.
