Booked most of our hotels for Australia and New Zealand trip based on other trip advisor postings. This one definately met our expectations. Its a very basic room - very clean, tile throughout, has a little fridge. Easy walking distance - a few blocks from the beach and tons of restaurants. Excellent staff here, they were very helpful in booking... more

Wes booked this before trip out to Oz. Super place with pool, BBQ area. Good rules for all to abide by. Super choice for breakfast, but no other dining. Staff would help you with anything....brill! Booked trips to Great Barrier Reef here & Kuranda Trip, all reasonable priced, staff showed good knowledge of everything. Eat out at the local RSL... more

Three of us enjoyed staying at the Coral Tree Inn (we had 2 big rooms with kitchen) for 7 days. Hotel have great location, nice and clean rooms and bathroom. We were on the second floor with nice view. Pool is really nice but we don’t have time to swim. Lovely grounds in the courtyard. We felt the front desk... more

Great Value for the family of 4, there were bunk beds for the kids, everything was clean, good size room, very simple, nothing fancy, A/C. Cinder blocks for the wall, rooms were sound proof from this. Price well for the budget family. You do have to carry your suitcase to the second floor, nice pool and BBQ area. Walking distance... more

Nice pool. Lovely grounds in the courtyard. We felt the front desk people all were helpful & friendly. We did the Green Island excursion... more

We were in Cairns for 4 nights, and were greeted very warmly, which was wonderful after a 25 hour train journey from Brisbane. The staff were some of the friendliest staff we encountered. They went above and beyond making sure we were comfortable, and when our tour buses were late, took the initiative to find out what was going on.... more

Stayed 4 nights. Room very clean, comfortable, quiet, safe. Very good value. Walking to downtown takes 15 minutes to the night market and main shopping. The Esplanade is very close. Public park in front the hotel. more

This a very good value for Cairns. We stayed 3 nights in April 2007. It's pretty much your ordinary motel, but I found the enclosed courtyard and pool quite attractive, and we had a ground floor room just off of it. I never noticed whether they had an elevator, though, so I wouldn't have liked being upstairs if not. The... more

We stayed here for 2 nights after a GBR cruise Nov. 18 + 19. We got there early, 9:00 am and were not able to get in the room, but stored our luggage and took a tour to Kuranda that the desk booked for us. We booked direct with the hotel and they offered us a $20 AUD discount. Room... more

We stayed four nights at the Coral Tree Inn before a Great Barrier Reef cruise and then one night after. The hotel is definitely a “beach” type of property and located about a 5 minute walk from the central business district. The buildings are cinderblock. The rooms are clean and adequate with a refrigerator and hot pot for tea or... more
