Basic but clean. If you are comming late night there is nobody there, key to your room left in the box. According to instruction you need just to pick up phone on the wall. But there was nobody on the other side. Difficult to find internet password (read carefully small letters on small bit of paper you are given with... More

When my friend and I entered our hotel room we were taken aback for several minutes at how basic everything looked. I have honestly never stayed in such an unsophisticated accommodation and I am not a fan of outside corridors. The room smelled stale and felt humid/warm but looked extremely clean. It reminded me of either my dormitory room in... More

We arrived here late in the afternoon, straight from the airport. It seemed like a residential area, with a few business around it. Since it was getting close to dinner and we didn't have time to explore, we asked the front desk for suggestions. They gave us a sheet of paper with 2 restaurants listed on it, and a map... More

Stayed here not long ago on a week long trip with friends and although I'm quite tolerant when it comes to hotels I didn't mind this one at all. The people at the front desk were incredibly helpful finding good places to eat and even with an ant infestation (which can happen) they handled it quickly. The only problem I... More

Discovery Cairns' price quality ratio is reasonable (our twin room 207 euros for 3 nights). The hotel is ideal for those who participate in local excursions, such as trips to the coral reefs and Kuranda. We would have liked a more central location. The hotel has no restaurant and breakfast service, but there are ethnic eateries close to it. The... More

This hotel is in a good location, but the decor is very outdated. This is a good place to base yourself if you are out and about, or are doing Tropical North Queensland on a budget. Would be nice if the twin room had king singles rather than just singles, but all in all, not a bad budget hotel.

I found the hotel on my recent trip to cairns to be very nice. The pools were both good, the room always cleaned well and the staff were great! Even the gardener, as I spoke to him for a bit, asking him about the plants that had been planted and commenting on how they look wonderful. I suppose the only... More

Overall good stay...clean and comfortable...however massive sliding doors across the front of the room make it feel a bit as if you are on display all the time! Doors also had a very flimsy lock which didn't make the room too secure...aircon alsoset at 22 and couldnt be changed
