If you don’t have a pressing need to be in the centre of Cairns, then head out of Kamerunga and the Cairns Rainforest Studios. We did, for three days in March, and then didn’t want to leave! We had a great stay here. Comfy bed, lovely and clean room with excellent facilities - the use of the washing machine and drier was particularly useful as we were on a long trip. The kitchen was also very handy and we put the super mess free electric barbequeue through its paces every night. A car is a good idea... more

I was extremely happy with the accommodations and hospitality that Jon and Laura offer! The suite was private with just the right amount of luxury. From the moment we arrived, Jon and Laura (the hosts of the Rainforest Studios) welcomed us warmly and made sure that we were comfortable and settled in. Wow...the Cairns Rainforest Studios really blew us away. This place is truly a hidden secret of Cairns. We were absolutely stunned by the surroundings...just a few minutes walk to the most beautiful swimming holes you have ever seen. This area is so tropical, leafy and quiet. It's just stunning.
