What kind of Motel allows itself to run out of gas....so there's no hot water in the entire place? This seems like a regular motel but is definitely nicer than the other ones that we saw in the Cairns vicinity. It's about 10 minutes walk to the main city/promenade area. The courtyard area you first enter is very nice; reception staff are very helpful and have a wealth of information on the local attractions; and there's a nice, but small, pool.
