Check in and concierge service excellent. Room very comfy with king bed, study area, table and chair. Room service very polite and prompt, food nice but a little expensive for quite small portion. Excellent position. Walking distance to everything in city area, central and Roma St station, and suncorp stadium. On site cafe and bar very nice to come home... More

All the things you expect, but nothing especially to recommend it. The rooms are a good size, the beds relatively comfortable, reception middle of the road, facilitys were as expected and the breakfast was not a good as can be expected from a 4/5 star place. The location is good and it was easy to get taxis. Would stay here... More

I don't even know where to start. Ok, when I arrived, reception was bored and disinterested. Went to room, they got the bed configuration wrong and it was drab. Ok, went to get a coke. No bottle opener. Went off to do work, order cab, didn't come. Asked conc, said keep waiting, then realised cab rank across the road. Couldn't... More

Citigate lived up to expectations of a city centre business hotel. I was in town for 2 days for an exam so wanted somewhere close to (next door to) the venue with easy access from transport. For $200 a night I had hoped for a little more but it is central brisbane and $200 doesn't get you much nowadays. Reception... More

Note this is now the Senel & Citygate Hotel. This is much better value, much safer and so much nicer than the Chiefley Hotel, and whilst not quite as convient you are more likely to make it safely "home". Slightly more dated feel but spacious in a city of miniature rooms - and I'm a size zero! Pleasant and homely... More

I stayed 3 nights this week on a work trip, and found the accommodation fine. I used the AirTran from Brisbane airport, which worked extremely well. The hotel is 5 minutes' walk or less from either Central or Roma Street stations. What I liked was comfortable bed, good shower, plenty of storage, staff at check in and out were very... More

Good hotel near centre of city. Small but comfortable rooms, very quiet. No noise at all. Has great little coffee shop in lobby which is good for a light breaky. More

This was my 2nd stay at the Citigate. During my first stay (in September 2011) I was in the newer part of the hotel which was a good experience but the room was no more than what you would expect in any average hotel. During this stay I was in the older part which was much better - The room... More

I took a lucky dip and purchased a secret hotel on lastminute.com.au for $139pn and was surprised at getting this hotel. Regular price on the site was $189pn. Only thing was on the reservation it did state that I would receive late check-out of midday which wasn’t honoured. Close to train stations and very short walk to the centre of... More
