I had the opportunity to stay at the Airport Clayfield in Brisbane this month, friendly staff, pick up from the International terminal, drop off at the domestic terminal, they looked after it all. Tidy, clean rooms and on my second stay had a room with a bath, so relaxing after a long flight. Close to many eating houses, reliable and... More

We flew back in from overseas and stayed here 1 night (family of 5). Best night sleep I've had in ages. Bed was comfy, room clean and I was surprised I didn't hear the traffic. Owner was friendly and welcoming too.

Friendly staff, close to road but not too noisy (important for folks from the countryside), could do with an update in décor, a selection of pillows would be lovely (some of us like them soft not hard) and watch the hot water (it takes A LONG TIME to come out hot). Would stay here again.

Scruffy and dated looking, with paper thin walls. Noisy due to being next to a very busy road, a clunky fridge and the comings and goings of other residents. Mostly quite clean, but lying in bed underneath dusty dangling cobwebs was a bit disconcerting. The shower wasted so much water. You had to let it run about 3 minutes before... More

Hi, Stayed overnight so we could go to a concert at Boondal, Easy walk (850 mtrs) to Eagle Junction Railway Station. On the way to the station we had a great Pizza at Hell's Pizza place just a round the corner. After 5 days at Byron Bay Blues festival in a motor home, the bed in the Spa room was... More

On the Northside of Brisbane it's hard to find a 4 star plus hotel unless you stay in the CBD. At this hotel (three stars), the water took ages to heat up once it did I got burnt and couldn't turn it off quick enough (be careful), the iron dropped white powder over our clothes and the iron also tripped... I stayed once before , many years ago at this motel and was not impressed. However the recent overnight was very good. The motel has a convenient location between the airport and Brisbane city, so the taxi cost is reasonable. The motel has an agreement with a shuttle company which I did not use. The price was good and the... More

Overall the cleanliness of this motel was 100% no weird odours being covered up it was outstanding to say the least. We opted for the room with the Spa, and warning to those who use spa baths don't be too heavy handed with the bubble bath, lol. Negative's with this motel was having to walk up 3 full flights of... Hi, Yes the luggage lift unfortunately does not take people up to the second floor. We do attempt to put only those that can easily handle the 2 flights of stairs on the second floor. Otherwise we reserve the first floor for those that are elderly or have impediments. We have taken yours and some other guests feedback on board... More

We spent four nights at the airport clayfield motel. Overall the visit was good. The rooms were clean, the equipment was functional and the staff friendly and helpful. Although the motel is close to a main road and the traffic is noticeable it's not bad, thanks to good soundproofing. If you however are sensitive to traffic this could be a... More

Hi Fredrik W, Thanks for taking the time to give us your feedback. Yes unfortunately, Sandgate Road is quite a busy road especially during peak times. There is nothing we can do about the noise on the street, however I note that you said that you were pretty happy with the noise level in the room. This is the best... More

This is a great spot to stop over if you are catching an early flight or returning on a late flight. The motel is only 5 minutes from the airport. Rooms are typical motelish in style and spotless. Steve and his team are only to happy to help and suggest places to eat etc.

Hi Hotabbots, Thank you for your kind words about our motel. I am super glad that you found the rooms quiet as I notice that you were from Hobart. On occasions we do get people stay with us that are not used to any traffic, but unfortunately when the motel is located centrally to trains, buses and the airport, there... More
