Travelling with teenagers is never easy but this hotel was fabulous. We stayed in a two bedroom two bathroom unit and the finish and furnishings were beautiful. But without doubt the best part of staying here was the position. Our teenagers could go out into the Queen Street Mall and enjoy themselves without us having to ferry them around. Any... more

Well I have stayed here several times for work and have found the apartments to be very central to everything as well as just a nice place to stay. I have stayed in at least 5 different unit configurations and have found them all to be clean, smokefree and well equipped for most things. The nice part for the business... more

To start with they completely messed up my booking putting my family and I into a 1 bedroom apartment instead of a 2 bedroom apartment. Our 'non-smoking' room smelled like an ASHTRAY and after 10 minutes we worked out that cigarette smoke permeated every fabric in the apartment from the curtains to the cushions. There was a leak from the... more

Wanted to try this hotel to see just how ornate it was advertised to be. It is a great looking hotel from the onset, but once inside it lacked any type of atmosphere. The rooms were large but very dark and it sort of felt you were in a dungeon. The rooms were well set out but the furniture must... more

My mother and I stayed here for 3 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment which was impressive on arrival. However on closer inspection we discovered bloody tissues in the bathroom bin, hairs on the basin & in the spa jets, the shower head held together with duck tape as well as the ice machine in the fridge was clogged and... more

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in a 2 bed apartment. The apartment was quite large, fully equipped for cooking and nicely furnished. The apartment was clean in a superficial manner, but was actually a little dirty on the edges. The staff were really quite unhelpful, bordering on dismissive. An illustrative example, the apartments are run by... more

So close to the hub of the city, we shopped ate went back for a rest/sleep, then went out again and did the same. We have young children and the ability to drop back into our accommodation whenever we needed was terrific. Plenty of places to eat, not to mention a food chain right next door to buy all the... more

This was our third stay at Macarthur Chambers and the location is so perfect it overcomes any other complaints you may read. It is right across the road from the Queen Street Mall, the beating heart of Brisbane. The apartments are an absolute refuge from all the hustle and bustle. It is an easy and interesting walk to fantastic shopping,... more

Our agent booked this for us because I asked for a centrally located non-chain hotel in a quiet location for a honeymoon (one night of a longer trip). The room is really an apartment with full kitchen, like a time share unit, ready to be lived in for any length of time. There were two rooms and two bathrooms, both... more
