This was the most interesting hostel I have stayed in. It was a cool old Queenslander style building and had a nice pool. The room was nice, the place was clean and tidy. The security was not great. Front door was left open most of the time and the keys to the room I was staying in were left in... More

My partner and I stayed here for a few nights , we absolutely loved it! Very clean rooms , fresh lining and a great space to feel like living in an old style Queensland (Australian) house. It gets a bit hot , but that is something that no one can control as the weather in Brisbane is humid hot anyways!... More

I had a short stay in Brisbane (2 nights) and came upon this budget stay. If you don't mind shared bathroom, and simple comfort, this is a great solution. The house is over 100years hold, creaky, but charming. The neighborhood is wonderful (the area is New Farm) and has easy walking to cafes, restaurants, busses, and river ferries. The staff... More

The location is great! It's close to cafés and restaurants in a beautiful part of Brisbane! The staff are very friendly and helpful. The building has a lot of character being a beautiful old Queenslander. The Storey Bridge is just nearby and looks spectacular at night. This is a good value for money alternative to a regular hotel or motel.

Thankyou for taking the time to review us, we are glad you loved our Queenslander and enjoyed the cafes so close to us, we are definitely a nice alternative to a motel or hotel with that bit of extra character. More

This is a good budget priced option for those looking for a safe and central location close to Brisbane CBD but with the quiteness of the suburbs and a lovely old character house with a swimming pool. The Wi-Fi could be better but it is free so I wasn't very bothered. There seems to be plenty of free parking close... More

My partner and I stayed at Bowen terrace for the Easter holiday for 3 nights. We stayed in a queen double room which was spacious, well equipped had its own shower and toilet. There was a very relaxed atmosphere, shared kitchen facilities and Maria was helpful when asked for advice about Brisbane and getting about. New farm as a location... More

Stayed in a single room which was excellent for the price. WIFI is included which is actually pretty quick + Tea, Coffee. As a direct comparison I stayed at the Base hostel in town 2 weeks ago in a 4 bed dorm. If you add up the cost of that plus a days WIFI the difference is barely anything and... More

Thankyou for your great review, we do pride ourselves on our clean facilities and our chilled atmosphere, we definitely don't try and compete with the big backpackers in price but feel we are still good value and the free wifi is definitely a bonus. Hope to have you back to stay Maria More

Had a nice time at Bowen, met some great people and had a good laugh. The hostel is pretty quiet and is in a nice quiet location. Could do with a slight modern touch but for value of money was pretty good. Free wifi in any location of the hostel is a bonus on my books. Would recommend this to... More

We booked a 2 bed as we are travelling as a couple and don't want to be in shared dorms, arrived to a 4 bed dorm with 2 top bunks on deprecate bunks free! One of the people already in the dorm we later discovered was a live in cleaner although she didn't open her mouth or make eye contact... More

We are so glad you found Bowen Terrace to be nice and relaxed homely feel. Not crowded like many others, free wifi, a pool, selection of books for guests to read, nice decking area to sit at, not a bad location We love the term HOME AWAY FROM HOME because that's what we want people to feel.
