Had a fantastic night's stay here for a relative pittance. The patron was a lovely and extremely helpful lady and the hostel/hotel ws a rustic place with plenty of ambience and large rooms. Location is somewhat out of the center but it is just around the corner from brunswick street where u will find plenty to do. One hint; remember... more

A well run budget option, with an informative friendly owner who had the time to impart some local knowledge. Room was basic, clean, good value and had character (completely wood pannelled in the queenslander style). The location offered 4 great short ways to the CBD -1.Take the bus from outside Bowen Tce, 2. Walk up Bowen Tce and connect with... more

This was honestly the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. I wish I could say I am exaggerating but I'm not. We stayed in late November and was 'upgraded' to their best room. It was absolutely boiling and the fans did nothing but swirl around the heat. The communal areas were disgusting, I don't know how anyone... more

We've stayed at this place twice I, my wife and 11 months boy when we arrived to Australia, we were back again after our initial two weeks were over and there was no vacancy at the time. Before we migrate to Australia I was searching online for months for a reasonable place to stay for couple of weeks before we... more

Unfortunately I can't recommend this place at all. I stayed there for 4 nights as I read all the great reviews and I honestly can't understand them. First of all my bed's mattrass was shocking. I could feel springs sticking into my body all over the place and when i complained about it the next morning no-one bothered to even... more

My husband and I stayed at Bowen Terrace for nearly three months. It is a great place to stay. The location is fantastic with shops, bars and restaurants just a 2 minute walk away and if you want to go into the city you can walk or there are regularly busses on the door step. The owners, John and Laura... more

I wish I'd read the previous review for this place before I stayed there! We too had a problem with noise from other guests and were kept awake all night long and then had to catch a flight back to England the next day so we felt absolutely shattered. All the other reviews I'd read of this place stated how... more

Bowen Terrace was a huge disappointment for us. We were travelling with 5 young children and had gone to great efforts to get family friendly accomodation. We contacted the owners directly and were assured that it was a family friendly location and were offered 'family rooms'. The rooms were lovely, the location is good and the owners pleasant. However on... more

We stayed here for 2 nights in the small twin room. It was fine. The room was clean, kitchen and bathroom were clean. The owners are friendly and helpful. As were the other people staying there. The location was great, eay walk to little places to eat and bus stops, river ferry. more
