The best cheap accommodation I have stayed in, it is clean, welcoming, they provide you with quality towels and pillows, comfortable bed with blankets, tea and coffee making in room, a tv and mini bar fridge, easy walk to restaurants, quite area, not the place for you if you want to party back in your room, really comfortable atmosphere, I... We chose this "hotel" based on Trip Advisor, but were sadly disappointed. Set your expectations for an accommodation just above a backpacking hostel, not a hotel. My husband and I decided to leave our electronic devices at home since we were on our way for a holiday in Papua New Guinea. After an expensive transport to New Farm, we were... More

Spent a couple nights here and enjoyed it. Nice charm that felt like home. Had a private double room with a private bathroom. The room is pretty basic but better than other hostels I've been in, provided a tv in your room, kettle with tea and coffee. The bed was quite comfortable. It's a very quiet hostel close to a... Given the history around the 'Queenslander' style housing of the QLD region it was a great opportunity to stay in one, and one thats over 100 hundred years old for that matter- an authentic Brisbane experience. Its been very well maintained, and is good value for money, and so quiet for a place that is shared acommodation including dorms- a... More

They did not answer my phone call when i arrived and they did not send to me the code to open the door and i waited in the cold weather for more than one hour till i entered by help of previous someone, no room keys. Such a miserable state i could not find in my life.

Wasn't sure what to expect of this location, it did the job fine but was really a basic hostel with hotel prices. We let ourselves into a dark building quite late at night and slightly edgy made our way downstairs to our small twin room containing two metal framed beds and a locker. One party member sleeping on a spare... More

I stayed at Bowen Terrace with my son at the end of June 2014. The atmosphere is very friendly and the host Maria, very accommodating. It is set up very well for shared accommodation. On Sunday's Maria cooks up a storm with her crepe's and everyone is invited to join her for lunch (bring your own topping). There are some... More

* The accommodation was in a good location - close to cafés, city, parks and shopping. * Staff that I spoke to were friendly. * Accommodation was very clean. * Was concerned about security in the evenings as the locking of the front door relies on guests ensuring the door is unlatched and locked. * Didn't like that the laundry... What do you call a place that has no staff on attendance after 18h00, rowdy kids coming in at midnight and people waking you up at 6am in the communal showers next door? You are right: a hostel. And how do you call a place that presents this kind of features, but that charges hotel rates? You are right: a... More

We stayed here while travelling the East Coast in December, the rooms were immaculate and the kitchen and shower rooms were always clean and tidy. The front desk was really helpful with lots of tips on where to stay. We pretty much walked everywhere and recommend catching the free fastcat to Southbank. I recommend the little bakery/coffee shop just a... More
