Close to the Valley is a bonus we thought- but wished we had booked somewhere else and got a taxi............... The receptionist was lovely and accommodating but that was it. This was just awful. Dirty and clearly poorly maintained. Everything needed up-dated. From Chipped cups to dried blood on the pillows We didn't realize that we had to share toilets... More

We booked into the hotel as it was situated close to the Ekka and was cheap. I was never expecting luxurious accomodation just clean and comfortable. The room at first seemed ok. It was very dated but it was a budget hotel so fair enough. However, the pillowcases and sheets were stained, the pillows themselves were disgusting and very uncomfortable... More

convenient location to airport: we had to catch a very early flight tomorrow so that was the main reason we chose this hotel; 15 minutes or so drive to airport Basic facilities for a stopover night stay, but everything is very old. had a glimpse on room price paper when checked in...seems all prices are lower than Expedia's...

We booked room for two nights via Hotels.com, you can do it direct as I would in the future ? :) After speaking to the manager they allowed us early book in, thank you!! We were surprised to find the room clean and neat which was wonderful considering the long drive from Sydney. The bed was on coasters & moved... More

This was our second stay at this hotel. The room was spotless and the bed extremely comfortable. We enjoy staying here as good value for money, is a lovely old Queenslander and has a charm about it. The framed memorabilia on the hallway walls is well worth tskcing the time to read. Yes because walls are thin ( due to... More

Stayed there in May 2014 for just one night before travelling on. Check in is strictly 2 pm, the room was tiny, the room had a balcony wich seemed mainly for smoking guests, the room looked out at a painted brick wall just 4-5 meters away. The weather was mild at the time, but on very hot or cold days... More

A more disappointing place you could never have the misfortune to find. Gloomy room with badly torn sheet on the bed that was quickly discarded. No curtains. For the first time in my life a hotel room with no curtains. A night porter who was drunk and abusive and a manager who was uninterested in providing a decent service. The... More

I have given this hotel 1 star and that is just for the friendliness of the staff at this hotel. I had a single room and it was dirty. I wrote "clean me" on the small TV in there. The shower cubicle had not been cleaned properly and where you put the soap, there were remains of other peoples green... More

Friends and I stayed for a local music festival and found this little hotel to be quite the gem. Yes the furnishings are simple and rustic but it's clean and comfortable with friendly staff. I have no complaints and even got a cuddle from the resident cat Oscar. There are people coming and going at all hours being so close... More
