We stayed one night, family of 5, the apartment was great and roomy, our windows looked right into the trains, however you can't hear them and wouldn't know there is a train line there. The restaurant was closed when we stayed, the only complaint I would have is the pool, it is not heated and a number of families came... More

The Capitol Apartments is a modern apartment hotel located on Peel Street in South Brisbane. It is a comfortable 10 minute walk to the Queen Street Mall. It has a small gym where everything appeared to work and a small lap pool. The apartment I stayed in was clean and comfortable furnished. There was a good range of cable tv... More

We visit Brisbane regularly and usually stay in this area. Was quite disappointed overall with everything . The temperature was 33 degrees when we arrived, the apartment was like walking into a sauna. The air-conditioning took a long time to cool down. The terrace had a smashed coffee cup on it, the remote controls were missing batteries . The room... More

First impressions were not good - building next to railway line and busy roads, underground parking was full and view from room was grey. Putting that aside, it is good value for money if you are visiting for the South Bank entertainment - a short and easy walk away so everything can be enjoyed without any further journey

I recently stayed at the Capitol Apartments for 3 nights. My apartment was spacious, super clean and modern. It had everything I needed and more. I can not say enough good things about the actual accommodation. I was on the 9th floor, so it was quiet with an okay view towards West End (I had asked for a city view).... More

Slow checkin, reception offering services like "room service" when their restaurant was shut... Rooms were large, clean & modern.. Bed was terrible.. You could feel every single spring in the mattress... I wouldn't usually sook about 1 item within a hotel room, but even a mediocre bed is fundamental !! If they changed the bed, I'd certainly go back, but... More

Have stayed here before and was a little concerned initially to find that my room on the end of the building (3rd floor) was within spitting distance of the train line. I need not have been concerned though, as I heard neither the traffic or the trains which run fairly regularly. Staff at check-in and check-out were pleasant and friendly.... More

This is a brilliant little find, being centrally located to both the city & South Bank, both of which are a 10 minute walk away, as is a Coles supermarket in West End. The Peel St Kitchen is located within the complex & makes delicious meals. It was a breeze to walk to South Brisbane station, QPAC, South Bank &... More

We booked an apartment as we were seeing a theatre show in the city so thought we'd made a weekend of it: It was the little things that disappointed us but over all good. The location was fine, even though next to a rail line, we didn't hear anything. The room modern and chic and loved the frosted glass bedroom... More

Located in South Brisbane within easy walking distance of the cultural facilities and event centres facing the old CBD across the river which is a bit further to walk. It comprises well-equipped, clean self-catering apartments but the gym, lap pool and the integral restaurant which provides room service, dinner and a good, reasonably-priced buffet breakfast, makes it something of a...
