Following lots of research to find a hotel near to Brisbane airport, we can highly recommend the Virginia Palms International. It is very close to the airport (6km), has 24hour front desk and incredibly helpful staff. The rooms are spacious, smart, clean and comfortable. There is also a good restaurant on site. The price is comparable to other more basic... more

My husband, I and our two children recently stayed in a 2-bedroom villa at this hotel. It was nice to have the two bedrooms plus a living area, but there is no way this hotel should be rated 4-star. It is between a 2 and 3-star motel. There is a small park behind the motel, but otherwise it is located... more

I spent a week in Virgina Palm for business and stayed in one of the bigger room (one with a spa bath). Good: 1) Staff were friendly and helpful. 2) In the room, at the desk and on the bed head, there are 2 lights, one very bright, one normal hotel dimmed light. As I had to work at night,... more

We arrived after a 450 kilometer drive. I paid for the stay using the EFTPOS facility. Because of not using a credit card I incurred a $100.00 deposit which is used to ensure against losses from the mini bar and other expenses. It cost $175.00 for the night for a Motel Room not as suggested by the establishments name, a... more

This motel (it can't really be called a hotel as such) is located in the northern part of Brisbane only a few mintues drive from the Entertainment Centre which is great if you're going to a concert or show. I stayed here twice during April 08 for this reason. The staff are quite helpful and friendly, checking in doesn't take... more

I have stayed at this motel 6 or 7 times over the past 3 months for business. The only one reason for staying here is its proximity to my place of business on the northside of Brisbane. Only stay here if you have to, otherwise, try somewhere else. This place is stuck in the 80's and is very "chintsy". The... more

We (2 adults + 2 kids) stayed here for 1 night while we went to a show at the nearby Brisbane Entertainment Centre. The family room had two bedrooms and a lounge/kitchen and 1 bathroom. The room sizes were adequate. The decor is very dated and a dingy yellow and faded blue made it quite depressing. The carpet was absolutely... more

This hotel is especially great for families who don't want a central city location and want some space for their kids to let off steam. You do need a rental car though but that is just about a given for a family in Brisbane anyway. They have several family sized, self contained villas and while not new they are well... more
