Stayed there few nights when arrived in Brisbane. We chose this hostel because of the price, it was cheapest option. Wouldn't go there again. We had double room and it was small, noisy and very hot to sleep (as it was January). The kitchen was one big mess, didn't want to cook anything there as it was really dirty. Toilets... More

This was not too far of a walk from the Greyhound/Premier Bus Station at the Transit Center. It is tucked away on a back road behind most other hostels. The girls dorm room was fairly large with bunk beds. The beds weren't very comfortable but average for a hostel. The kitchen is very tiny but there are large common areas... More

After a 6 hour coach journey you'd expect to arrive somewhere which is at least clean and tidy. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE!!! To get to the place you have to walk down a dodgy road, which felt really unsafe! You get to the hostel and are "welcomed" by miserable, rude and depressing people who just don't care as long... Ill start off with.. When i was a kid i snuck out and stayed in abandoned squaters houses with teens that were more sanitary then this!! I needed one night in brisbane, payed $60 for a double room to myself and the disapointment is unbelievable (and ive backpacked around the world in some shockers) by far the worst experience of... I never write reviews about hostels but I really want to warn girls off this hostel. My friend and I who usually don't really care too much about cleanliness felt so unsafe here! It is placed in the backstreets of Brisbane, so many dodgy people around. Old men lurked outside the hostel constantly and the atmosphere was horrible. Got bitten... More

We only paid $54 for a double room per night which is great but don't be expecting comfort! The room was swelteringly hot with a naf fan and the room had debris from the last occupants when we moved in. The bathroom was covered in mould and had no hot water. When I went downstairs to try the female showers... More

Hmmh. Horrible. We visited Yellow Submarine back in the January 2015 and stayed there for one night. Hostel was located in the excellent distance to the citys CBD, but that was only good thing about the place. Room: The room was for 2 and had bunk beds. When we arrived to the room there was warm piss odor in the... More

This hostel was the cheapest we could get in Brisbane so we weren't expecting much. We had a double room. Shared bathrooms weren't the cleanest. Our room was at the front of the hostel so the smokers would smoke right outside our door so the room smelt of smoke - this was also because the windows wouldn't close and there... More

By far the cheapest hostel in Brisbane and a fine example of the saying 'you get what you pay for'. For your money you get a tiny sweaty room with a fan and uncomfortable beds. Quite a few bugs around though the rooms are fairly clean. The kitchen and showers are gross, as is the pool and outdoor area. The... More
