I really enjoyed my time there. It was always extremely clean and the location could not be any better. You can be in CBD in 10 minutes with a bus. The bus stop is just in front of the house. They don´t serve breakfast, but there is a very nice place just across the street. Coles, pharmacy, fruit market just... More

New Farm is a beautiful location with lots of nice cafés and close to Brisbane's city center. We got a very friendly welcome and an explanation of where to go and how. Our room was nice and cosy and had everything we wanted/needed.

Severe weather conditions on Friday, 1 May prevented us reaching Brisbane from the Sunshine Coast i.e. the Bruce Highway was closed. Remember, this was the storm that claimed five lives. We phoned late afternoon to say we were trying to get through but had to turn back, so we rang and cancelled. Despite the circumstances, we were charged $95 for... More

I ended up staying there for a lot longer than I planned and I guess that has to contribute to the fact that I enjoyed my time. Even though they have plenty of rooms, I didn´t hear any noise during my hundred night stay. Plenty of bathrooms and one of them even has a good hand shower. Owners were truly... More

near city, the bus stop just right in front of the house. clean and comfortable. my wife says it is a bit hot in summer because they have no aircon. there are supermarket and restaurants around the area so you dont have to worry about the food. the kitchen is also clean.

Two owners of this guesthouse were wonderful. They were the kindest people I met in Brisbane. The condition of the room I used was comfortable. The one thing that keeps come up in my mind is wish there was an air conditioner inside the room. But still! they do provide a fan to keep yourself in a fair cool condition.

the best place to stay in this town. Wonderful people, room with great accommodation, in a lovely and quiet street with everything near (shop, bus, transport, park, organic shop with the best smoothies ever, restaurant, coffee, post, river, bar, cinema). You have a small kitchen in your own room with sink, microwave, fridge and all you need to cook. You... More

Jacque & Nala are extremely friendly and helpful, and the guesthouse has a nice location and a very nice garden etc. However, I did see a lot of cockroaches & geckos, and everything in the shared kitchen is just too old and dirty to use. The room itself seemed to be quite clean, but it was small.

It was a pleasure having you stay with us. We are an older Queenslander style home and try our best in keeping the common areas cleaned on a daily basis. We do have plans to improve the kitchen facilites. We wish you all the very best. More

Absolutely lovely place, stayed there for five nights and would definitely go back if we needed a place to stay. Close to everything, Coles 100 metres down the streat with excellent fruit and veggie shop right next to it, bus stop right outside ellie's guest house, and lovely markets just a stroll away. The rooms were really nice and clean,... More

I have travelled a lot, paid for expensive hotels and have been disappointed. Ellie's was simply wonderful and a lady who comes out on ny eve to let me in after I had made a late booking deserves special credit. This was perfect for me, a spotlessly clean room, kitchen facilities and comfortable bed - what more could I ask... More
