Having stayed at lots of the YHAs in Australia, this one is certainly one of the most modern! Up there with the lovely Sydney harbour one. We had a shared room with some quite untidy boys.. but I guess the hostel can't help that! The room itself was very modern, very clean & very quiet. Well located within Brisbane, we... More

I have stayed at this YHA three times now and each time felt like coming home. The welcome you get as you walk into the wonderful air conditioned reception is the best I have experienced in Oz. You get a map and all questions answered. Your room has air con, lockers that you could hide in and comfy cozy beds.... More

Good and clean. Nice kitchen. If you haven't stayed in hostels before this is a good place to start. Been back to Brisbane 5 times and this is where I stay every time. Nice view from the pool and great location.

We went to Australia for 3 weeks last February, travelling up and down the east coast checking out many hotels and apartments through booking.com etc before going, but as our plans weren't set in stone, didn't make many firm reservations until we arrived. We had shyed away from considering hostels as thought they would be noisy, not as clean and... More

Stayed 2 nights in the yha and can confidently recommend it to families with young kids. Family room was clean and included two wardrobes. Kitchen was the best equipped amongs all the backpackers we've seen in the last 8 weeks. Staff friendly and helpful, especially as they enabled us a day parking after we checked out. You can explore brissy... More

Brisbane central YHA Is a great hostel. It is the best hostel I have stayed in since the start of my travels! We got checked in even though we were a bit early. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. We got in our room located on the basement floor level, which was nice. It was so quite and... More

Great place to stay, with such a close proximity to the CBD of Brisbane and south bank it makes brilliant sense. No breakfast is included but the facilities are very good, clean and staff friendly. They even have a pub restaurant on the premises which serves very decent food. Well worth it

This hostel is more like a hotel. We stayed in a double room which was clean & spacious. Double glazing meant little outside noise disturbed us despite close proximity to the railway track. We arrived early and the staff where extremely helpful, sorted us out with a locker for our luggage, let us use all the facilities & ensured our... More
