The only thing going for this hotel is its position close to Roma Street station. Our room was so small that it was impossible to open our suitcases on the floor as the amount of space between the bed and the walls was less that the size of a suitcase! You could not look out of the window as it... More

This was a small but but well appointed and functional room for our three nights stay in Brisbane. The room and linens were clean and serviced each day. There was a tea/coffee maker. The reception was helpful with check in. Close to the CBD. The lift was small (as most older remodeled hotels lifts are). For the money this was... More

Brisvegas hotels within business travel price range were completely sold out in the CBD by the time I organised my travel. The company we go thru suggested the Explorers Inn as the only one left with an affordable room so I jumped onto some review sites to be forewarned. The room was a decent size but had two beds in... We stayed at this hotel for one night, thankful it was only one night! The girl on reception was on her phone when we arrived and was not very helpful or attentive. The room was the smallest room I have ever stayed in! There was barely enough room for the two of us to move around with a suitcase on... More

Our room (thankfully for one night only) was cramped and depressing. The tiny window was filthy and partly covered by a wooden blind (the other part having been torn off leaving only the bracket). The room was dark on account of the air conditioning unit which partially covered the window and blocked out the light. Because of its size it... More

Have stayed atthe Explorers a few times now. While it is nice and handy to the transit station, city and King George Busway this motel is very cramped. The room is ok for one person but put two people into the mix just makes these rooms too small. The room is fine if you dont plan on spending too much... More

Wow where do I begin. The bed is so hard they might as well remove it completely to save room. It's a tiny tiny room, with a small scary lift that only holds 4 people. No room for storage. Do not even stay here. It is definitely worth paying a little more to stay elsewhere for a good nights sleep More

Tiny, tiny room and even smaller bathroom/shower recess. Establishment was clean and seemingly well managed, just the room size was the issue for us, not even enough room to have both our bags open at the same time. Not bad beds and a/c and tv in room. Definitely a transit only place to stay, close enough to Central Station and... More

The Explorers Inn is one small step up from a backpackers hostel. The room was tiny with one bunk bed and a single bed. The bathroom was really small and would not be recommended for anyone above average size. We were travelling by train the day after, and I guess the room prepared us for the train sleeping compartment that... More
