Tiny room with absolutely basic amenities. I don't think you could get a smaller shower toilet. If you need somewhere to crash overnight, this will do. For anything else, this won't meet your needs. Close to Brisbane Transit Centre/Roma Street Station and the city so convenient.

Travelled in a group from Gold Coast to Brisbane, an hour drive, found the hotel, but hard to get a place to alight and no nearby car park available. Room too small, with very basic facility and they really need to improve the cleanliness.

The hotel is conveniently located in Brisbane's CBD, relatively cheap compared to other hotels and staff was friendly. However, the room was very small, the air conditioning loud and the bathroom was really gross (there was mould everywhere, even on the shower curtains). Definitely not a 3 star hotel (as the sign says outside the hotel). Would not stay there... More

Stayed here for one night travelling through Brisbane. Very small, basic and a little dingy but the location is great and the staff are helpful. If you're looking for city centre on a budget, I'd recommend it. Very close to station and city centre.

This hotel is without doubt one of the worst, if not the worst, I have ever stayed at. The room was small, shabby, dilapidated, badly in need of painting with cracks in the walls and skirting boards. The window air-conditioner was noisy and at first extremely cold but overnight the temperature of the air-conditioner altered rendering the room a stifling... More

This has to be one of the oldest (in need of demolition) hotels that have i have stayed at in my life. My cheap skate company booked this gem of a hotel. Room is super small and it smells. Hardly any hot water aircon (in the window 70s model) very noisy' however since you can not open the tiny window... More

I stayed in this hotel for three nights. The location of this hotel is very good. I travelled from Brisbane Airport to Roma Street Station by Air Train. This hotel is five minutes walking distance from Roma Street Station. All the major attractions of Brisbane are nearby to this hotel and can be visited by walk only. City Hall, Kings... More

Stayed at the Explores last night, was with two mates and off to see some bands in the heart of the city. Got a triple room which was tiny but perfect for what we needed and at $103 worked out the same price as a back-packers with 3 of us. If you need just a bed near all the action... More

The only redeeming value of this hotel is its location: a walking distance from most places in central Brisbane, from buses and trains. Since this is the CBD, most restaurants will be closed on Sunday, though. Contrarily to some of the other reviewers, we didn't find the hotel or the room dirty, only tired and in dire need of sprucing... More
