Great room, clean, restaurant downstairs, quiet. Close to Queen St Mall, short walk to Southbank, 5 mins from Roma St Station. Plus you are supporting YMCA - bonus. Room facing street was good. 7/11 nearby. Parking tricky but when located easy.

Strategic location. Walking distance to main places of interests - CBD, South Bank, Brisbane Convention Centre. Rooms are fairly basic but its clean and comfortable. The special discounted breakfast at its adjacent restaurant is great value. All in all a fantastic budget hotel.

Basil Fawlty is well and truly alive...........in Brisbane Australia except he has had a name change to Jeffery (no last name provided) and is at the George Williams Hotel located at George Street in Brisbane :-) Given I was staying overnight for a series of important meetings spread over two days, I chose this place suggested by Virgin Australia, our... The recommendation for the George William came from an Information booth staffer, and we were very pleased with the result. The hotel is so centrally located that we could walk, access public transport as well as get out of the CBD and head for several parks to relax. Rooms are small, but well laid out, maximizing the space and providing... More

Central location, within walking distanceof CBD, South Bank and galleries makes this a great budget hotel. Fairly basic room but bed was comfortable and clean. Good security with swipe card access to lifts and rooms.

Set with outdoor seating on the road the restaurant welcomes hotel guests and passers by. They offer a great specials menu from Monday to Friday. We enjoyed a tasty steak and fries, mine had a lovely pepper sauce all for 15 Australian dollars each.

The car park is a nightmare with a 90 degree turn required to enter the car park - if you can find it in the first place as it's located in a dark cramp alleyway behind the hotel. The rooms are from the 1980s, and are dark and gloomy. Only upside I can think is the location of this hotel... More

When all the business/legal people have gone home the George William is great value. Location is great, a pleasant stroll over the river on the pedestrian/bike bridge to the South Bank & Museums etc. Airport train link also close by. All the renovations have been completed with improved facilities & extra card swipe security on floors as well as rooms.... More

Say you want to visit a city. You land late and you sleep and you check out first thing in the morning for your meetings and you are returning to your home city. And you just want a decent bed to sleep. Well, that is the point of this hotel. Located smack in CBD. Walking distance to everywhere including Central... More

Close to everything in the city at the top end near casino and shops. Rooms are a bit smaller than usual but when on business they are OK. Quaint cafe on ground floor to enjoy after work and watch the city pass you by. Theater on opposite side of street as well as a good pub and parking.
