Recently rennovated. No mini bar items just UHT milk, Small TV. Resteraunt not open on Sunday evening the duty staff member was unwilling to reccommend somewhere to eat. Luck I am ex. Brisbane and was able to use prior knowledge. More

This hotel is in a convinient central location to central Brisbane. The rooms are very basic but clean. This is very much what I would term as a budget hotel but excels with it's cleanliness and tidy condition. The rate was the cheapest I could find for a central hotel at the time, but at around $200 was more than... More

I was recently staying 3 nights at this hotel in a refurbished room on first floor. Although room and sheets looked clean, I had bed bugs visiting overnight. Receptionist's reply to complaint was that even 5 star hotels have bed bugs these days and only gave refund for one night and no apology. They had put me in another room... More

The hotel is well located after a long trip from europe. The bus stop is nearby, so it can be reached easy from the airport. it is just in the middle of the city, only some steps to the walking road. room is very small, you just fall in the bed when you open the door. Staff is friendly. When... More

We are currently staying in Hotel George Wlliams cheaper to book direct, we had trouble finding it from Roma St train station as it still has Ymca on the building but we are pleasantly surprised although queen room is smaller and an odd shape and faces an office building so cant open the curtains as people can see in "no... I stayed here for two nights (Friday & Saturday) in December & was pleased with it. The hotel was quiet, clean, well located & good value. The staff were helpful to my enquiries. I would stay here again. More

we stayed at this hotel last weekend 27/11/11.......and whilst its cleanliness and location were satisfactory, the size of the room and tariff were not commensurate with the overall quality of the hotel........the room was tiny......(i am well travelled and have stayed in all standards of accom around the world)........and the tariff $140 on a sunday night, booked on the same... If a place to crash after a function is all that you need then this place satisfies! Clean rooms, comfy beds, nice staff. A few minor gripes: the aircon was noisy but worked well and we had the room next to the lift so there was some noise from that too, cant get the kettle under the bathroom tap easily.... More

The photos on the website definitely make this place look nicer than it actually is! In saying that, it's not a terrible place - definitely on the budget end of the scale but everything was clean and tidy. It's actually a YMCA accommodation, which I don't remember seeing before booking this, but possibly was something I missed. They let us... More

This hotel was booked for me by international donors for a regional conference. Checking in mid morning was straightforward, room was ready to receive me. The hotel is older but has undergone a transformation from its YMCA cap to its present day modernisation. My room on the third level overlooked George street. Traffic disruption was minimal if at all. Both... More
