This hotel is in a very great location. It's close to shops, restaurants and the bus station. It's basic but clean with very friendly and helpful staff. The $10 breakfast was delicious. Wi-Fi was extra but this seems to be pretty much the norm in Australia.

The only great thing about this hotel is its location. Very central, easy access to all the great things Brisbane CBD can offer. But I could not believe how small the room is. And the walls are paper thin. We could easy hear neighbors conversations.

The George Williams Hotel is my usual quarters when I visit Brisbane. Located in the CBD it is close to everything without overcharging you for the privilege. It wouldn't be a hyperbole to say that it is probably the best value for money hotel down town Brisbane, ideal both for the business and the leisure traveller. While the George Williams... More

I was very impressed with the George William Hotel. Great location - only a 5 min walk to Queen Street Mall with lots of shops. It's a shame there was no free wifi even in public areas. The room was lovely, modern with toiletries and a comfy bed. To say we were on quite a busy road we slept really... More

We stayed for three nights over the Riverfire weekend. Room 102 was clean, well designed and quite small. Bear in mind these are DOUBLE bedrooms, not queen or king rooms. Loads of space for your belongings. The staff at George Williams, especially Liz on the front desk, were extremely helpful. Liz seemed to be in 25 places at once (maybe... More

The great staff made this last minute stay so easy!!! Room 106 was a budget price and quite small but well designed with shelving and storage where you needed it. I have stayed in larger rooms that were more awkward. The cafe down stairs and great location to other eateries means you have no requirement to eat in or hang... More

Great room, clean, restaurant downstairs, quiet. Close to Queen St Mall, short walk to Southbank, 5 mins from Roma St Station. Plus you are supporting YMCA - bonus. Room facing street was good. 7/11 nearby. Parking tricky but when located easy.

Strategic location. Walking distance to main places of interests - CBD, South Bank, Brisbane Convention Centre. Rooms are fairly basic but its clean and comfortable. The special discounted breakfast at its adjacent restaurant is great value. All in all a fantastic budget hotel.

The recommendation for the George William came from an Information booth staffer, and we were very pleased with the result. Rooms are small, but well laid out, maximizing the space and providing... More
