If you're looking for a basic but clean and comfortable hotel close to Brisbane CBD this is a hotel worth considering. It's generally cheaper than the big name hotels nearby - it's often staffed by youngsters who are friendly and keen to help and the rooms are fairly small and dated, but if all you need is a cheap place... This hotel is in avert central location to the restaurant strip and the city . The water pressure isn't very good. The rooms are comfy but small. The staff were extremely helpful. I liked the budget breakfast as I don't ever eat much in a buffet so having a choice of things for $10 is great.

I choose the double room which isn't large but there are different options available depending on your budget. I thought it was excellent value for money for what I wanted. Spotlessly clean. Very central location to shopping, train station, parks and Southbank. I arrived early and was allowed to check in, which is a big plus in my book. Meal... More

I travel to Brisbane a lot and since 2008 have now stayed at the GWH many times. In its favour is its very central location; friendly, helpful staff; and inexpensive tariffs. On the other side of the ledger, rooms are small - plus everything in them is mini-sized, too: the TV, the ironing board, the cups ... even the number... More

Very clean, efficient, "4 star" courteous, helpful within an easy walk from Lang Park. Check in time is 2pm - very helpful checking-in person gave us a room at 9am - and we scored a car park. Note: arrive early if you want an on-site car park (advice given by the first bookings man on the phone). Take the breakfast... More

This hotel is perfectly fine for what it is - a cheap and cheerful place to stay in the middle of the Brisbane CBD. The rooms (mine was 813) are clean and quiet, the bed was very comfortable and ALL the staff members were incredibly customer service focused. For business people, importantly, there is quite a reasonable sized desk. The... More

This hotel is in a very great location. It's close to shops, restaurants and the bus station. It's basic but clean with very friendly and helpful staff. The $10 breakfast was delicious. Wi-Fi was extra but this seems to be pretty much the norm in Australia.

The only great thing about this hotel is its location. Very central, easy access to all the great things Brisbane CBD can offer. But I could not believe how small the room is. And the walls are paper thin. We could easy hear neighbors conversations.

The George Williams Hotel is my usual quarters when I visit Brisbane. Located in the CBD it is close to everything without overcharging you for the privilege. It wouldn't be a hyperbole to say that it is probably the best value for money hotel down town Brisbane, ideal both for the business and the leisure traveller. While the George Williams... More
