We enjoyed every meal we had 2 x brekky and 2 x dinner. The staff were all young and pleasant with a helpful attitude. The place is clean and comfortable and should give the big fancy hotels down town a run for their money. The beds were very comfortable. We have a large car and the only negative would be... more

I arrived At the Hotel, and told my room was not quite, ready the receptionist, then said nothing else for about a minute as i stood there wondering what was going on. Presumebly she was finding me a clean room. But some adknowledgement well i stood there would of been nice. The room was new and nice, if not a... more

I stayed here August 2008. The rooms themselves have recently been upgraded and were very comfortable. Overall I was very happy with the room and with the staff. The lobby looked positively third world but after the renovation is finished (was going on while I was there) it should look great. The location at the top of the city is... more

The hotel is still being renovated and the entrance was difficult to find., but once inside the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a room facing the city, and overlooking the empty pool that was being renovated - it was somewhat noisy in the afternoon. The room was on the small side and had a very noisy... more

I recently stayed at the Terraces on Wickham for an overnight stay between flights. The hotel was selected by my travel agent after I instructed her to book a hotel near the CBD. While not right in the CBD, this hotel is a short walk to the centre of Brisbane. The walk to town is largely downhill from the hotel.... more

The other reviews aptly describe the very poor quality of the older rooms (some floors have been renovated now). These old rooms should not be used in their current state, as they reflect badly on the Accor brand, and paying over $100/night is disgraceful. The only question I have is how can they allow things to get so bad before... more

Is it not noticable that we brits find this hotel more than adequate, while other nationalities seem to have different expectations and attitudes to the staff? I stayed here for five nights, 25-30 Oct 2004, and found the staff friendly and helpful, the restaurant excellent. The central location was ideal for access to the tourist sites, and for the business... more

I stayed in Goodearth for a week in August 2004. This was about 7 days too long, but unfortunately all other hotels were booked. The Goodearth is bad and was selected for me by a convention organization. While the hotel commands a great view over the city of Brisbane, it is really old, unkept, dirty and has dangerous plumbing. It... more
