Lovely from the outside and excellent location we were very disappointed with both service and provisions in the rooms .I had to ask for towels 2 nights in row-which were extremely thin and worn-the sheets were spit thro-with holes in the mattress protector- they would not allow me to have another pillow so had to sleep with a blanket underneath... more

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, Firstly the smell of the room was mouldy (due to the fact the carpet was wet). We had a plague of ants, had to ask for towels and tea towels, the jug was broken and when complained had to wait an hour for any help. To top it off I came home... more

We had the worst stay of our live - and after the check - out we missed some hundred bucks... well we have no evidence that the room cleaner has stolen, but we would always prefer to share our bed with a family of bloodhounds than to stay one more night at hotel Astor Metropole. Do not stay here EVER! Worldwide, this is the worst hotel we have ever had the misfortune to stay in. Need I say more. It was a horrible experience. Reception staff were very rude. I still have itchy bites all over me. They wouldn't give me a refund, insinuated that Iwas lying. What ever you do do not stay here. more
