My wife and I stayed at the Royal Albert for 4 nights during May. For the price, the Albert is not bad, especially considering the great location. Located right in the heart of the CBD, there are tons of restaurants, bars and stores a short walk away. Hit Ashala which is just south on Albert Street. While the room was... more

Right in the middle of the city across from the Myer Centre, you could not ask for a better location! The staff were friendly, the room was nice - nothing fancy, but you only sleep in it :) And being so close to the CBD we thought it might be noisy but we had a sound nights sleep every night.... more

My wife and I have stayed at the "Bertie" on several occasions now and have not been disappointed; it's a great base for a stay in Brisbane, especially if without one's own transport and wanting a spot right in the city. One downside - if you could call it that - is the construction work going on both on the... more

Old building, nicely and tastefully renovated. Not a great outlook, but if you are just there to sleep its not a problem. Great amenities in the room, including a washer and dryer. No restaurant on site, but there is one at the entrance and we were not pleased with our meals. However, there are many alternatives within a short distance. more

This hotel could be easily missed (in fact a leading local tour operator didnt even know where it was!), as it's actually an apartment block situated above a restaurant. We chose this hotel purely for its central location and it did not disappoint. We weren't expecting anything luxurious but this place has everything you could need for a few days... more

Found staff very friendly and helpful. Was welcomed back on arrival. Forgotten I had stayed before . Stayed in a 1 bedroom self contained apartment. Large room with comfy bed and cable TV. Enjoyed the old world charm atmosphere of the hotel. The room needs new carpet but this doesn't detract from appeal or comfort The hotel is across road... more

This hotel is very near to the main shopping areas in the city. It is within walking distance. Not too far, just perfect. The room I stayed in has 2 bedrooms. There are 2 tellies-one outside the living room and another in one of the bedrooms. The double bed I slept on is very comfy and nice. Another room has... more

We stayed at this hotel for one night. It is in a very central location in Brisbane and a short walk to the station. It was clean, although a little tired in places. more

While the hotel is old it does offer wonderfully large rooms with cooking facilities which is unusual in a central city hotel. My last visit was in Sept 2001 and I found that nothing had changed. The rooms all have ample space with a lovely full size desk which is great if your are there on business and want to... more

Anywhere after our first week of our honeymoon in Paradise Bay in the Whitsundays was likely to be a disappointment, so it might not just be this hotel!! The Royal Albert hotel was clean and in a fairly central location. We had dinner in the restaurant outside the hotel, which we'd definitely recommend. This was fine for a stopover, but... more
