Enjoyed the breakfasts here Mushrooms on Toast with a poached egg! Coffee is good, staff are really friendly and the hotel a lovely quiet oasis after a long flight! Enjoyed the stay. Rooms are good, plenty of space, lift is safe but historic!

Loved my stay at this hotel. I think it is about to undergo some major changes at the moment but when finished I will be back to stay and cant wait. An absolute icon in the centre of Brisbane and the staff were faultless.

Found this little place to be the perfect location and size for our family. The 3 bedroom apartment was spacious, great size kitchen and very very clean. Easy walk to the station and riverside areas. 5 minutes to Queen street on foot. Thank you.

I stayed here for two nights and was very pleasantly surprised. Hotel would have been a real classic in its' day and it still holds well its' charm and atmosphere. Well located, walking distance to CBD, in nice surroundings, excellent friendly and helpful staff - all at a very reasonable price. The Sofitel is basically next door so do the... More

Great location, with a short walk to the city center. Good old style building but modern facilities. Clean. Very friendly staff (the pink haired girl at the reception is very helpful and always patient). Suggest a room with no window facing the busy intersection and the station. You would heard the traffic all night. Waiters at the breakfast place not... More

A deligtful boutique hotel with very approachable responsive staff. It's an old style building with a vintage elevator, a little bit shabby in parts but has everything you'd want. My junior suite was stylish and comfortable. Great location and exceptionally reasonable rates.

The Inchcolm Hotel lives up to its promise. Full of old world charm with all the modern conveniences we need. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment and loved the original artworks and the explanations that went with them. A real change from the standard boring pics seen in hotels. Close to Central station and easily accessed. The staff were... More

I booked last minute on wotif and managed to get a mystery deal at a good price. I had a great stay and thought the hotel was comfortable and very pleasant and full of old world charm. I arrived at 9.00am so I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to check in early. Better still I was upgraded to... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Inchcolm Hotel combines the elegance and timelessness of an historically significant property with the personalised service and facilities of a boutique hotel. Both the original building, The Inchcolm, and the 1930’s cage lift (who we've called Myrtle!!) which still services the hotel, are heritage listed. In 1999 the heritage listed section of the building was transformed from medical chambers to hotel suites and an extension added to the rear of the building created additional suites, a garage and the swimming pool between levels 3 & 4. The suites within the heritage listed section of the building retain many of the original features of the property, including beautiful silky oak wall paneling and the old doors with their brass fittings. The more contemporary suites of the extension have been carefully designed to be sympathetic in style to the original building. In deference to the history of Brisbane and Queensland, the Suites are named after significant people or places of interest including Burnett, Gympie, Ashdown, Lockyer, Kidman and Miles. ... more   less
