We dined as a family of 6 adults on Sunday 31 March 2013. Overall a nice meal though Chicken Riviera was a bit of a disappointment with not a lot of chicken or flavour, steaks were enjoyed as was the Peking Duck Breast though duck would not be filling for a large eater and the sauce was very sweet and... These apartments are great for a short stay. Everything was spotless and you could really tell that house keeping has a high attention to detail. The only thing I will fault is the bathroom - it was a rather odd setup, though I think this may be one of the rooms they have for disabled guests. The shower area certainly... More

The Colmslie was recommended by the company I was meeting with the next day as it was close to where they were located. I was a bit dubious when I looked it up on TA and saw it was attached to a tavern. However, my fears were ill founded as it was a terrific place to stay. The room was... More

The apartments are good, the food is average for breakfast and the same for dinner, a place to stay but nothing that stood out, very average. This was a business trip with using the conference facilities.

I had the pleasure to stay at The Colmsie Hotel for a week whilst on a training course. It is deffiantly a five star hotel. The staff were excellent, could not do enough for you. The rooms were terrific and spotless, well set out with a lovely king size bed. The breakfast was great, with a wonderfully variety of foods.... More

Stayed here after my sister's wedding reception was held in the function room on the hotel and it was great! The people at reception were very helpful - even after hours when we lost our hotel key (card)! The rooms are roomy, comfortable and clean. I looooved the showers - plenty of hot water and pressure. The hotel is opposite... More

My family stayed at the Colmslie for three nights over Christmas while celebrating with family who live in Morningside. The rooms were lovely. Clean, good sized, very comfortable and had great black out curtains which is a must for those of us who are used to summers with daylight savings! The only negative thing that I experienced was that we... More

Firstly, I have to say that all the niceties of this hotel has been nullifiied by the placid service of the front desk staff. Not once were we greeted with a good morning, hi, or even a smile! And if you know Australia, this is really really rare. We booked through travelgate.com and read that they had free internet (one... More
