Just a km off the road in Sapphire you would think you were transformed to another place. Whether RV'ing or staying in a cabin, it is great little gem tucked into the bush. The billy boulder cabins are unique and cozy with kitchens. There is also a fully equipped cook house. There communal fire places are great place for campers to... More

great (and probably the best) place to stay in the gemfields, these folks are doing it really well, great facilities and feeling in the camp. Happy hour to catch up with others and a camp kitchen more like your own little cafe. Only down side was the Frog Hollow cabin we stayed in was next to the toilet block and... More

This is one great park. Well spaced sites, quiet at night, probably the nicest and best equipped camp kitchens we have seen in a caravan park (They even have vegie peelers in the camp kitchen). Very clean amenities and fantastic hosts. We stayed for 2 nights - the first night on a slab site. We were guided to our site... More

Stayed three nights in the park and had a great time. The park had everything you need with BBQ'S, camp kitchen, laundry, clean toilets and showers. Camp owners promote interaction with the local wildlife and each other if you want to. Park is close to everything. ..

We were on our way home to Brisbane from Birdsville so staying at the Sapphire Caravan Park was only for one night unfortunately. Wish we could have stayed longer. All facilities were excellent. Absolutely loved the fireplace in one of the BBQ areas. Lovely having a fire with a chimney so you don't have to try to escape the smoke.... More

Beautiful park. Large and private sites. The amenities are spotless. The best camp kitchen I have ever seen. Fabulous bbq hut. The animals and birds are hand fed around 5pm. We are surrounded by bushland with all sorts of birds and wildlife

Best caravan park we have stayed in. Quiet, clean , level site, easy access and not crammed in like so many other parks. Wildlife at your door and best camp kitchen you'll find. Friendly hosts, wish we could have stayed longer but we will be back.

This little treasure is hard to beat, located in the gem fields district of central Queensland, the park caters for enthusiastic amateur fossikers and grey nomads alike. We are towing a 24 ft Jayco Expanda. The camp kitchen is well appointed, and the amenities are spotless. The layout of the park gives vanners a bit of privacy but there are... More

This is a real treasure. A beautiful caravan park amongst the iron bark trees on the hill in Sapphire. The amenities are great including the best camp kitchen you'd find anywhere and a great BBQ area where you can have an afternoon chat and drink with other guests. We'd come again and we'll tell others to as well.

Nestled on the hilltop at Sapphire this caravan park has a lot to recommend. Level, very spacious sites with concrete slabs, a camp kitchen with more equipment than you would ever need, a great BBQ hut just perfect for 5 o'clock, swimming pool, sapphire wash cleaning facilities, 5 bars on the phone, all TV channels and obliging staff (Adrian &...
