We booked this hostel over email and phone call before we left the uk, we had also booked in advance a 3 day trip to kakadu national park with this hostel with their own tour company wilderness 4wd adventures with our credit card.
So we arrived in darwin in the evening of 10th may at 5pm, under the impression that the hostel and our tour was booked. All organised(for a change!!).
Arrived at the hostel 5pm (10/05/08) - reception was closed- and nothing had been left for our arrival.....we had all our luggage with us after being on the plane for several hours.......the caretaker luckily was still around- allistair- he was okay-we explained that we had booked previously- he gave us the room keys.
Room- basic-no windows and dirty bed sheets!, we were tired and reception was closed so we couldnt say or do anything about it, and we needed to pack for the 3 day camping tour(kakadu) which started 6am the next day.
