I read all the bad reveiws about this place but I'm not fussy when it comes to places to stay so I thought id give it a chance. All I expect is a bed to sleep in and a shower. The hot water didn't work in the shower though and the sheets on the bed were mouldy! The only thing... More

Please don't do it. I have had to stay here for work four times in the last six years, it is getting progressively worse. My bathroom felt like I was in a horror movie. The light flickered, the tap wouldn't turn off properly and the door made a creepy noise as I shut it. It is quite far away from... More

Work booked me into this one.. then I read the reviews..worried me... Reception lounge had me worried it was old and dirty, I almost cancelled but it was past midnight and the friendly night person was well groomed and friendly. I took a chance. Room was dated, clean and the bed very comfortable, opening window to tiny balcony let the... More

Blatant overuse of the star system. One star at best. Mediocre and dirty rooms, high prices (for what you get). And the rudest staff if you complain. Don't be fooled Go somewhere else. Anywhere else! This has to be the worst place I have stayed anywhere in the world, and I thought I had stayed in some baddies. Worthy of... More

We arrived after a long flight to a dirty room full of German cockroaches. When raised with the staff member he was most unhelpful. Refused to action a refund then and there as it was late at night and needed his manager. Then refused to document we gave him one of the cockroaches we caught. When I took a photo... More

We picked Luma Luma because of the 'kitchen facilities' to try and save some money by cooking breaky ect. Little did we know that their idea of facilities was an old rusted out camping electric stove which looked like it would burn down the room if we turned it on. Our room didn't seem to have been 'maintained' in an... More

Darwin is an awful place to stay during the tourist season unless you have a lot of money to throw away. II needed a place as I had a 10 hour stop over with a separate bedroom and for $220 Luma Luma was half the price of everywhere else. The place actually wasn't that bad. Nice location, friendly check in... More

We were wary after reading the reviews here but booked this hotel because of it's price. I call it "cheap and cheerful". The staff were friendly and very helpful. It was clean but a little old. A perfect location, with air conditioned rooms and a refreshing pool! We would definitely stay here again.

I was returning from Katherine prior to V8 weekend so rooms were not available at the usual place I stay at so spent 1 night at Luma Luma. It is dated but it was clean, unfortunately there was issues with the electrical & the air-conditioner didn't work after returning back to the room later in the evening, luckily a fan... More
