I had high hopes for a great location in Darwin however was disappointed. The room I was given was as far from anything I could get an backed onto the Darwin Hotel. The bin full of stubbies gets emptied at 6am in the morning and people sit right outside your door having beers on small tables and chairs for two... More

To be honest, I expected a tacky, noisy hotel. What I got was a cute, modestly sized villa with a great verndah. It is not a luxury resort, but it was clean, well maintained and the kithenette was a real bonus. The lush foliage around the resort meant that city noise was muffled and that is felt cool and inviting.... More

Booked for five days on re commendation of others. We were not disappointed. Allocated a triple room which was ok for the two of us, more room. Place was spotless, the staff very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The pool a delight.

We recently visited Darwin for a much needed holiday beginning of this month. We stayed at the Palm City Resort in a tropical villa and to our delight it was beautiful! The villas are a hexagonal shape type hut with raised decking that surround the pool area. We could not have asked for a better location! The gardens were tropical... More

. Lovely and quite for those who don't want the hustle and bustle of Mitchell St. We stayed for two days in a Superior room, before going on a Kakadu tour, . It has a beautiful tranquil atmosphere, we were surrounded by palm trees, quite, comfortable and the bed was good. We had a mini kitchen type of set up... More

My 3 year old and I loved our villa! We arrived at about 1.30am and were greeted by an efficient and friendly man on reception, who then helped us to our villa. The fan had been turned on earlier, and the windows opened, which made a big difference. We loved having our own deck area to enjoy breakfast, or just... More

Reception area is dingy, getting to the rooms is tortuous, the motel rooms are tired, small and noisy, with the problem of smoke from smokers at tables outside. Thank goodness we didn't pay for the larger cabins which had no privacy from people walking past.

I suppose for Darwin this is good but its really only average. The room was tiny. The pool looked good but was not easy to use. We didn't try the breakfast because they wanted $23 per head, we went around the corner to Mitchell St where there was a big variety of restaurants etc..

Much nicer atmosphere than staying in a big hotel, in my view. Great position, short walk to outdoor cinemas, cafes for breakfast etc. Some noise from a pub across road. Tropical huts compact but very comfortable. Can't comment on the motel rooms. Lovely grounds, feels private with so much vegetation, nice pool. Would go back.

My sister and I stayed at this hotel only recently before our trip on the Ghan. We arrived late due to fog delaying our departure from Perth. Receptionist was lovely ... very accommodating and we all had a few laughs. She gave us a room on the ground floor near reception, so we didn't have far to walk, or even... More
