Palm City Resort is a great base to explore Darwin. You have the added benefit of your own private veranda to chill out or BBQ to save some $$. Fantastic location close to public transport with the Bus Terminal close by. Jump on the number 4 bus for a $3 ride to Mindal Markets and if are less than 3... More

We had a room on the first level and had to carry our heavy luggage up the steep external exposed stairs by ourselves. Not sure how you would cope in the wet season. Room was old and dingy and the shower curtain drizzled water over the bathroom floor. The air conditioner struggled but kept up with its constant use and... More

Stayed 3 nights in duplex villa. Small but very comfortable and well provisioned with all necessary food preparation utensils, plus a BBQ on verandah. Close to CBD in lovely tropical surroundings - which seem to be disappearing around Darwin as the city grows. We enjoyed our visit and would stay here again.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning and 1 more night at the end of our trip to Darwin. Motel room was OK, but the villa was much nicer. 24 hr reception, laundry closed at 10 pm but they kept it open an extra 30 mins for me.

We spent 4 nights in a villa here. My husband and I were enjoying our first trip to Darwin. We found reception adequate without being anything special. Our villa was very cute. Do not expect a lot of space, but, you will have everything you need. The grounds are very tropical and you would be forgiven for thinking you were... More

I spent 3 nights here to attend a conference and it has been a great base for easy access to the convention centre, waterfront and shops. There is a lovely park across the road too, which I enjoyed walking in. I stayed in a standard motel room and it had everything I needed. There is the option to have windows... More

Great grounds, great location. Shame the breakfast is mediocre, tinned fruit instead of fresh tropical fruit from local suppliers!! Rooms dark, needs uplifting with tropical theme. Helpful staff with shuttle bus. Having a toaster & microwave would be more convenient. Bathroom needs a vanity to place toiletries & make-up bag

Accommodation was limited at the time, so it was with trepidation that I booked with Palm City Resort. What a pleasant surprise- the rooms & linen were clean, having a microwave & toaster a bonus. One felt safe with the security lighting & locked gate. Couldn't ask for a better location. Though it's a non-smoking hotel (rooms) being able to... More

Within short walking distance of CBD and about 10 mins walk to Wharf Precinct with bars and restaurants. We stayed in a ground floor motel unit, very secluded and private with small outdoor table and 2 chairs. Friendly staff although we would have appreciated being shown the way to our accommodation on arrival rather than being given a map with... More

I had been looking at this place with its leafy grounds on my previous visits to Darwin, decided to treat myself to 2 nights here on way in from Melbourne. The highlight was Romesh the helpful cheerful night receptionist. He greeted me with a smile, had all my paperwork ready, walked me to my room and helped with my bags... More
