I stayed in the female dorm which was a nice sized room bathrooms where clean can't fault that. But the safety of the hostel was shocking. During my stay in May 2014 there were men that were not guests at the hostel roaming the female corridor. Several people on the floor had them try get into their rooms. My own... More

We stayed in a private double room (I believe it was 167). Rooms were ok and clean and soap and towels were included. There were lockers in the room, but you need to bring your own lock. Airconditioning was not to be switched off or modified, which was too cold for us. Mattress was terrible and felt like a half... More

This hostel is very good. Was in a 4 people bedroom, with our own bathroom. Room was quite spacious and bathroom was alright. There were also common bathrooms that were good. The common area upstairs is quite fun. Only complaint on this hostel is about the cleaning time of the kitchen. They close the kitchen between 2:30 and 3:30 pm... More

It's simple basic and has a really awesome vibe about it. It was on the main strip and location was amazing! Walking distance to all Darwin attractions. Accommodation was very basic but I expected that it's a backpackers it's not glamour. Music was playing all day sun was streaming down on us poolside, where there was lounges poolside were it... I got in to Darwin on a midnight flight and the airport was just buzzing. Upon taking the shuttle to Melaleuca there was an ad for the hostel that played over and over again. The ad was definitely WAY better than the hostel itself. I got to the hostel and checked in. There is a $10 sheet deposit. But the... More

I have traveled in NZ and Australia for 6 months and this is definitely the worst hostel I have stayed in. I'll start with the only good thing about the hostel: The AC in the 6 bed dorm was very good, and it's highly important with the tropical weather in Darwin. The bad: - Very loud and crowded 24/7. -... More

It's dirty, loud and crowded. Probably one of the worst hostel I've visited. The only good side is the price. If you're travel agent suggest you go there before a tour in the surrounding national parks, that might not be a good idea...

Pretty sick that you have a hostel with bouncers. Just stayed overnight and the next day. Expected not much because I read the reviews before. Long way from the airport (shuttlebus $18 one way). Pool area, wifi, good location, 24h reception. There is no atmosphere in this place, reception is not very friendly and tells you actually nothing without asking,... More

Positives: -Air-conditioned rooms, a must in Darwin -Located in Central Business District, which is easy to do given Darwin's size. Everything is walkable no matter where you stay. -Major supermarket directly across street -All women's floor -Bar that attracts the partying kind -Wading pools on roof -Contracted security staff from late evening to early morning -Rooms are surprisingly quiet despite... If you're looking for a cheap place for a short stay in Darwin, this is the one. The good things: check in desk open 24 hours (trust me, this is a rarity in NT), free parking on site, location, cheap laundry facility, price. The bad things: rude staff (possibly underpaid work holiday makers??), kitchen is dirty, bar area was really... More
