We stayed there for three nights and then came back for an extra night after going on a 2 day trip to Kakadu National Park. From check-in to check-out both times everything was fantastic. Great rooms, fabulous buffet breakfast included, excellent service, we were very surprised and pleased. Would throughly recommend this hotel. A bit expensive but darwin is. more

My wife and I have just spent six days at the Crown Plaza Hotel Darwin and found this hotel to be superb. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was superb and the rooms are contemporary, quiet and clean. We would almost go back to Darwin just to stay at the Crown Plaza ! more

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza, Darwin for 2 nights while on business in the NT. First impressions were very good, with a lovely bright welcoming lobby and friendly and efficient check-in staff. Room was on the top floor and had a great sea view, as per one of my photographs. The room was clean, and the bed very comfortable... more

Very nice place and for the value I was very impressed. The rooms were very spacious and nice. We did have the government rate so please keep that in mind. One thing to know is that they charge you for valet parking($15 AU per day). All other parking is metered on the street and is not quite viable. Its a... more

I researched Darwin hotels and thought I was booking a nice room for my outback vacation. Upon arrival, I was impressed with the hotel lobby, but my opinion changed when I entered my dated suite. The decor was less than desired and there was no attention to detail. Mold covering the tile grout. Torn blanket on the bed. Open water... more

Dear Guest, I am sorry to hear that you were dissapointed with your recent stay at Crowne Plaza Darwin. We have not long completed a complete room refurbishment so it is dissapointing that you found our rooms dated. Most of our guests are very pleased with our new rooms. It was more concerning to find out about the drainage issues...

Nice, functional rooms, can have good river view but even city view is interesting (we stayed 2X and were in 2 different rooms). Friendly, efficient staff. Less than a block from many restaurants and shopping. more

Now I'm not a lover of Darwin, let me start - but I was there last week for business and this is a very lovely hotel. The rooms were surprisingly large, bathrooms nice and the service very good. Overall it made a meeting that I really didn't want to go to, overall quite pleasant as we could retreat back here... more

It's quite hard to find a decent hotel in Darwin especially when the no. 1 hotel on Tripadvisor is an airport hotel! Not too handy if you actually plan on visiting the city. It is true that this hotel is quite expensive. We paid $340 per night for a King size room on the 20th floor. That rate was considered... more

Honestly, Darwin hotels are not good. They are old school, daggy and there are no true luxury, oriental style options you might expect in such a tropical town. The Crowne Plaza is, in my opinion, one of the best (of the worst). It's rooms have been recently upgraded, though the bathrooms haven't been completely overhauled, and the pool area is... more

My wife and I stayed in Darwin's Crowne Plaza for 4 nights in July 2008. We had booked a room with a harbour view. But on check-in we were told that our allocated room had developed an airconditioner fault. We were offered an alternative room, which we were assured was of equal quality. But this substitute room on the 16th.... more
