“Located on Mitchell Street – Was convenient to all activities, walking distance to restaurants and public transport, supermarkets. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. Limited car parking area which was always full. Had no trouble with bed bugs in double room with ensuite.

I recently stayed here for 2 nights in a 6 bed female dorm. Max on check in was great, very friendly and helpful and even told me places I should visit whilst I was in Darwin. The hostel is away from the noise of Mitchell Street but within 5-10 minutes you can drink and dance the night away. The kitchen... More

I stayed in a 4 bedroom with ensuite bathroom. I found the bathroom and sleeping area to be tidy and comfortable. The staff at the desk was easy-going and helpful. Great location in the CBD. I didn't use the kitchen so I can't comment on that. I would stay here again.

I needed last minute overnight accommodation, so I thought being a YHA and in Darwin, this should be a good place, however I should have read the reviews. Price was good, rooms were ok, Beds were comfortable and I got a good sleep, however finding out during the next day that I had received over 100 bed bug bites which... More

Very good standard throughout, most of the staff were friendly and helpfully, one guy made it feel like you were bothering him by saying hello though. The room was a very good size, A/C didn't work properly and when we asked if it was working we were told yeah that's how it's ment to be... We'd have been better off... More

Hi Adam YHA appreciates your review and feedback. The A/C in the room should definitely have been sufficient and it will be investigated further and maintenance called in. If you have problems with issues not being addressed, please always ask to speak to the hostel manager who will act on it. Thanks again. More

Nice and quiet hostel (no party hostel) at the "main road" in Darwin CBD. The stuff is very kind, well informed and helpful, especially Max, he is the BEST :) There are male and female rooms each with its own bathroom. Every day is the cleaning stuff walking around. The pool is great and the kitchen is well equipped.

Stayed in a 6-bed shared room and it is the best part about this hostel because there is both a mini fridge and private bathroom with a shower in the room. The air conditioning works great in the room and is very necessary as it's usually low 30s (celsius) and mid 90s (fahrenheit). Even if you pay the $15 for... More

Hi Brian Thanks for your review of our hostel. In particular, the feedback on the internet - we have contacted our internet provider and asked them to investigate the signal as this certainly shouldn't have happened with the paid service. Appreciate the heads up on this. Enjoy the rest of your visit to Australia. More

This hostel for me and all of my roommates was awful. They have a problem with bed bugs in more than one room, we were actually convinced mosquitos were the culprits of all our lumps & bites as we never imagined we were sleepong with blood sucking bed bugs. Almost as insulting as the fact we has bed bugs was... More

This is such a disappointing hostel as being a YHA hostel. It is definitely not YHA worthy. The rooms are dirty and the only people who are staying at this hostel are people working in and around Darwin. There are no backpackers. The rooms are small, there's not enough space for everyone's bags and the room and the ensuite bathroom... More

I stayed at YHA Darwin for one night's recovery from an overnight journey on the Ghan train in a private room, then went and toured the top end and came back about a week later and stayed in a 6 bed dorm. Hostel staff were pleasant, there was an OK pool area, a very small car park (do not rely... More
