I enjoyed my stay here. I was at the hotel for 3 weeks. I liked the fact that the owner and staff were friendly and very helpful. I felt comfortable. And had a great time. My room was clean. For a budget rate hotel, I found the price good. The pool area is great and i liked it's space. Very... More

Flying to Darwin on barely 6 hours notice we found that very little accommodation remained available. The Poinciana Inn was centrally located and boasted tariffs comparable to the exotic resorts in town. Could it be that bad? Well yes it could. Arriving after midnight getting entry to our room was the highlight, after that there is really not a lot... More

We arrived in Darwin at a point where there were few hotels at any prices with rooms due to the massive long term influx of contract workers building Darwins hotel and gas terminal future. We came off the Ghan and had to stay one night elsewhere in order to get a few days in this hotel (as the only hotel)... More

We stayed there two nights. Booked in 10minutes before arriving. Was the cheapest place in Darwin. We had a family room, it was tiny but just enough. Room was clean. Good rate price/quality. Very close to everything.

Budget hotel, nice and friendly staff, recently refurbished, had a nice stay. Would recommend :) my kids really enjoyed the pool area and it's in such a good location. Still needs a bit of work, but was nice and clean.

Mouldy bathroom, extremely noisy, uncomfortable beds and very out dated. I'm all for using budget accommodation on occasions but it has to be clean! I didn't feel comfortable showering in the bathroom it was that disgusting.

Blood-smeared linnen, no staff at the reception (you have to call them at your own expense to check in), dirty, scary people around the motel and extremely out-dated infrastructure. Completely over-priced.

Our stay at Poinciana Inn was interesting to say the least. A last minute walk in booking on an EXTREEMLY busy time in Darwin ( V8 supercar week) had us desperate for a place to sleep our family of four. The staff were excellent and we were offered a room to sleep 4 of us. At a cost of $250... More

We were upgraded to a king room which had been recently renovated. We found the room to be very quiet. There is also a very nice pool area. Also appealing was location to town and our car hire was right next door. I agree the reception was a bit dingy but we found the staff very friendly and helpful

We stayed in a superior room which, I believe, had benifited from a rolling program of room improvements on one of the upper floors or several days. The room was spacious, clean and reasonably well appointed. There were a couple of down sides, the reception area is dingy and needs to be spruced up. The ground floor rooms appear to... More
