Nice apartments and clean, cleaning staff very nice and helpful, the owner/manager she was not so nice, people from the bar can enter during the day. I had my bag stolen around swimming pool area, so bad end to my stay.

Dear Debby M, Thank you for choosing to stay with us at Ashton Lodge. We are glad you enjoyed our facilities. Our cleaning staff are a very dedicated team and they were delighted that you have mentioned their hard work. As we operate our reception area for the lodge during the day time hours, our doors must remain open for... More

Disgraceful customer service. We arrived late at night to the lock box only to find it was not working, no contact number, no person in sight. Office phone didn't answer. Had to find another hotel at 2am at an exorbitant cost. When I phoned Ashton Lodge the next morning the first thing they said to me was "oh the night... More

We arrived in Darwin at 2am and could hardly out of our cab for the the throng of partying people in the street out the front. it was like being back in Asia! We had a room with a bathroom, these appear to front Mitchell St which is where the action is. Part of the building is the Wisdom Bar... More

One night in a private room "with window" (because we could choose without any for 10$ less). So actually it was like if there was no window.. Small kitchen at the ground floor. The room was not really good. And they ask you for a 300$ deposit if you pay cash or by debit card. Just enough for one night.

The Ashton Lodge was exactly what we were looking for when we came to Darwin! Right in the middle of the city, so everything was in walking distance. Its surrounded by restaurants and bars with the waterfront only a ten minute walk down the road. The room was exactly what we needed: clean, standard and a decent price. Not to... More

It was the cheapest place we could find in Darwin last min and stayed for 3 nights. It is perfect for people wanting to stay in the middle of all the action in Darwin CBD and plan on spending most nights out. We found falling asleep easy and stayed on the top floor so had no problems. Rooms are standard... More

I read the negative reviews before staying here but pretty much due to my budget and lack of options I booked a double room with shared bathroom facilities - Room 14 (first floor). Well, I didn't get any bar noise, it was quiet, air conditioner worked well, the house keeping staff checked daily if I needed anything done to my... More

Bed was not comfy. No facility in the room. We shared a toilet with 2 other rooms. Check in time was 12noon, you can't go in earlier. It's v conveniently located at mitchell Street; yet the room we stayed on is quite quiet despite the noise along the street. There's a bar at the lodge which looks petty cool and... More

Two of us stayed here for one night after travelling the bush. Great location for partying which we didn't want to do as we were shattered. Very noisy, even the ear plugs didn't keep the noise out. Basic facilities and the air con was incredibly noisy due to it being so old. Lots of stairs and no lift so we... More

Stayed in the Ashton Lodge with my Boyfriend for a week in one of their double rooms. Very basic room but good air conditioning and serviced daily with towels. Had to share a bathroom but was kept very clean. Staff were so helpful and nice :) Only thing that was a negative was that their bar Wisdom is right below... More
