Myself and a friend stayed here for two nights (which was the minimum amount of nights and quite frankly too many for Darwin). Upon arriving we were greeted by an unfriendly and quite rude young lady. Firstly she accused us of booking a triple rather than a double and had the audacity of blaming us for their mistake. By reception... More

So this place I would not go to again. After paying 29.50 for a 4 bed dorm that is ment to be only for girls (even had a sign saying on the door female only dorm) yet had two males staying in it I felt a bit pissed off. I tried to argue the point to the staff and ask... More

Stayed here in October for 3 nights before we went to pick up a campervan to travel the Northern Territory. The rooms are tidy enough but if you end up in the top bunk by the aircon like I did then it can be somewhat chilly and noisy. The big plus side is the great pool that's a huge advantage... More

This hostel does not have anything spectacular as such that would set it apart from any others, yet it is one hostel that I found myself most comfortable in. The rooms are basic but clean, the pool is spotless and the toilets are okay. But the atmosphere in the place is good and it is easy to both socialise if... More

The staff was friendly but the people staying there didn't want to socialize with anyone new. Seemed like everyone staying was living on the floor of the hostel rooms for months. The floors were covered with everyone's belongings. It was hard to get to top bunk because you had to climb over all the items scattered throughout. No lockers in... More

Stayed here for two nights. Has a great big pool area, a great backpackers for socializing, and drinking then going out etc. It's also in a really good location and the bed in the 8 bedroom dorm were so COMFORTABLE. But for the price of it (I know all aussies backpackers are dear) they could atleast have lockers. There was... More

dingo moon lodge is the best hostel in darwin. relatively cheap (for darwin) and enough far away from the party scene at mitchell street to be able to relax around the amazing pool but close enough to be there in a few minutes if you wanna go out. whether the staff is friendly or not depends on which backpacker is... We stayed here for 2 nights. It is okay, the rooms are a good size, although there aren't lockers and the bunk beds didn't have ladders which was annoying. The included breakfast is always a positive and is good. It's in a good location at the end of Mitchell Street, close enough to walk to everything but far enough to... More

I was very disappointed with customer service. I booked a room and was told they would send an email with confirmation and payment details. I didn't receive the promised email. The very next day I emailed asking about this email and discovered not only had they recorded the wrong email address they said sorry your room is gone and we... More
