We picked up a magnificent brochure in Darwin on this place and were very eager to spend a few nights there and catch up on a bit of fishing. Unfortunately, our first impression on the place put us off completely as everything was locked up and it looked like the place was deserted. After a while a lady came down... More

We stayed here in one the of "superior" cabins in mid-June 2014 - even though it was a weekend and high-season we were the only guests in the cabins (there was another family camping one night). The cabins are very small (double bed, single bed, bar fridge) - that's it - no table, desk, chair or even suitcase stand, no... More

I stayed here for a fishing trip in 2013. The accommodation is basic and clean. The food is excellent. Its a great base for a fishing expedition and the staff (backpackers) are very nice. Make sure to take tropical strength repellant.

We stayed at Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge in a basic cabin for three nights. The rooms were small, but clean. Bath room was also simple, but functional and clean. The restaurant served good food, a bit expensive, but what can you expect if you are more than 100k from civilisation and still want to have fresh food. The pool is very... More

Originally booked 3 nights in budget cabin...only ended up staying two due to a monumental stuff up with our boat hire (booked through the lodge). The budget rooms are small and very basic. There's 2 single beds and a bar fridge and that is it. For the price tag of $170 per night I expected better. The amenities are very... More

We found this place by mistake but it was one of the best places to stay during our NT trip. Absolutely peaceful place in the middle of Mary River wetlands. Friendly and helpful staff. Facilities bit "old school" but clean. The menu in bistro is little overpriced. They do wetlands cruises (1,5 hour $55) which was one of the best... More

Accommodation looks a bit tired, shared amenities block is fine but bbq / kitchen area is third world and ropey. The menu in the bistro looked interesting, but no air-con in the eating area made a restaurant meal pretty unappealing. Grass looked nice in the camping area, but is a bit rich at $17 per person for some average facilities...

Been in the Territory all my life and know the history of Point Stuart, but this was the first time I had the pleasure of staying at the Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge. The manger/owner Dean and all the staff that were present for our stay were excellent. We enjoy both a deluxe room (with own bathroom) and standard room (share... More

When we were planning our trip to Darwin we first looked at our entire accomodation in Darwin only, expecting then to do side trips to Kakadu, Litchfield etc and then book about 2-3 separate fishing day trips. Then after some researching on TA, we stumbled upon the Point Stuart Lodge. It turned out to be the best part of our... More
