This is my second time staying at the Paravista Motel, and I have to say I was not disappointed. The rooms were again clean and tidy, and Nelson was wonderful to turn the air con on for me before I got there. Nelson remembered me from my visit last year, and had a laugh and joke with me like he... More

It was the worst experience I have ever had, The care taker was so aggressive about me knocking on his door because I did not see a sign with the information on how to get in my room with recpition was closed, he began in calling names and saying he is going to puch me, just because I asked him... well wade your story is amazing and you are very good at stretching the truth, but there is always two sides to every story, yes you did fail to see the very large sign that states about late night procedure ( mind you that no one else has had any trouble seeing the sign or reading it ) what you... This motel really is stuck in the 70s. Both the air conditioner and the fan were too noisy to use at night. The fan in particular was weird. It was a high tech wall mounted fan but it was either ultra fast or cutting in and out. The fittings are definitely dated without being heritage. The Manager (owner?) was unhelpful... More

This Motel is a good choice if you are looking for clean affordable basic accommodation in the suburbs of Darwin. The rooms, though a bit dated, were clean and the beds and pillows comfortable with good free wifi. Parking on site is free, the pool and BBQ area is nice and there is a shared kitchen/dining room on the floor... More

Situated in a nice area not far from the CBD , close to Parap markets/ shops, Fannie Bay, & East Point which has a beautiful reserve and walks. Ideal if you have a car but also very close to a bus stop, costs $3 to catch a bus to city. I ended up staying here for 5 nights and loved... More

Overall the room was fine, basic, clean yet dated, you could find nicer accommodation closer to the city around the same price. The downfall was the outside noise, carried through the corridors. Woken more than once through the night by partygoers arriving back, although a weeknight. I slept with the window open for fresh air, the neighbours cigarette smoke would... More

we stayed there as a group of 5 in three rooms. The location is not Darwin central, but that's not really a problem. Especially if you have a car. They have a pool, and free BBQ. Markets and shops are nearby. No eating facilities on the premises, unless you have BBQ by the pool (not a bad idea). Free and... More

Yes the Paravista is an old motel however the rooms were clean, recently painted and the beds very comofortable and we found the manager to be helpful. We stayed for a couple of nights then went touring in litchfield for a couple of nights and came back for the night before flying back to Brisbane. We have no problem recommending... More

The guy at the reception was a bit obnoxious, but once you've dealt with him, the room was ok. Not perfect; the door to the ensuite had no tongue in it, and the AC was very noisy. The pool had leaves and other debris floating in it. The kitchen upstairs was equal to the worse camp kitchen I've seen in... More

Quiet location, slightly outside CBD but if you've got a hire car it's less than 5mins into town. Rooms are a little dated, and the aircon is loud, but a great spot overall. Comfy beds, a nice balcony, swimming pool and nearby pub/shops/ATM are very handy. We checked in very late, and the management were really helpful - responded to... More
