We had a fabulous stay at this hotel due to its location and pool! Pool was situated amongst shady gum trees, grassy lawn, had sun lounges, was clean and had towels easily accessible. We were situated far away from the reception. You may like to ask to be closer if you're like us and carry too much luggage. There was... More

I’m not going to repeat previous reviews about price of or decor of rooms. So the positive... we had a standard room with two queen beds, $304 a night...the room had everything that I find important. It was quiet, clean, the bed was comfortable and, in 44.1 degree heat, the air conditioner worked well. I don’t go on holiday to... More

Like countless others, the hotel charges ~ $500 a night, coz it can. The newly refurbished rooms were nice, and I hope they stay that way. Manager sent us a nice bottle of wine for our Anniv. I did find the front desk behavior more like a Super 8 motel, (i.e. just going through the motions) rather than being attentive... More

We stayed at the Desert Gardens for two nights and had a nice room on the corner of one of the buildings. The check in was easy and the staff was very helpful in confirming all of our tours and making sure we knew where everything was. The room was spacious but the walls were a bit thin and we... More

WE only stayed one night, and we re glad of that. The room wa slarge and clean but the TV hardly worked. The whole resort was very down at heel - it's about 30 years old and in need of a lot of basic maintenance. The shops - such as they are close at odd times - 5 or even... More

It was a toss up between here and Sails in the Desert. Essentially, did we want to pay a lot or a truck load for our hotel. We decided on a lot and put the rest toward the very expensive Tali Wiru dinner (the intimate version of Sounds of Silence where you get your own table and service rather than... More

The great thing about this place is how quiet it is. The peace of the desert pervades the resort. I was lucky because I was upgraded and had a room with a view of Uluru. If you can possibly afford it, ask for a room with a view and have the experience of a liftetime. Not only decaf with your... More

We stayed for 2 nights at the Desert Gardens and yes, it is pricey but they have you over a barrel. The room was OK but the TV was dreadful - haven't they heard of plasma in the NT?? And in case you are wondering why we were watching TV, well there is nothing else to do at Yulara in... More

If you are going to Ayers Rock then you have to stay in one of the 'controlled hotels' and the prices for everything are truly astounding. Whilst you are in the middle of nowhere and transport costs must be high but rates of $399 per night excluding breakfast for a room that was last upgraded in the 70's is very... More

This was our stopover on the three day Red Centre experience. We only had an hour to spare after check in before heading out on the next part of the tour - or at least that was the plan! The check-in system crashed, which meant we only had ten minutes to dump the cases and then back out to meet... More
