No words or photos can truly capture the experience. The isolation and remoteness of the location is surreal. On arrival we were greeted in the main lodge with champagne and wet towels (wet towels greet every arrival to the lodge as that red dust is very pervasive), where we planned a personal itinerary to maximise our experiences with a very... The hotel is superb! The attention to detail down to the hot water bottle in our bed at night was fantastic! However the trip was made even more special by the extremely friendly and helpful staff. A special mention must go to the tour guides whose knowledge and enthusiasm was outstanding!

We are so glad that we decided to splurge on this unique hotel after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. Staying in these luxury "tents on stilts" was one of the highlights of our trip to Australia! My husband, three kids (10, 13, and 16), and I especially enjoyed the dinner under the stars. Being July, it was very cold... More

A two/three day package .The room was very comfortable with a view of Uluru ,the tours run by the hotel were excellent and informative -- the food imaginative and well presented and cooked. The staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful and all in all a credit to the new owners who have lifted standards from what was previously... More

My husband and I split our honeymoon between Australia and Bora Bora and we were looking for something off the beaten path. A visit to Uluru and our stay at Longitude 131 was our favorite part of the trip! We stayed for three nights (the average length to get the full experience of the tours Longitude offers) and had a... From the minute we were greeted at the airport to the packed lunch given to us on our departure every single moment in Uluru and at the resort was simply superb. The team are all warm and friendly. The accommodation is first class. Stunning views of the 'rock' from your comfy bed, attention to detail with nespresso, biscuits, snacks, nuts,... More

I have just returned from a lovely stay at Longitude 131. I would love to have given 5 stars but there were a few minor issues which were primarily just a lack of attention to detail. Pros: All inclusive Nice and secluded - away from Ayers Rock resort Beautiful rooms with comfortable beds and pillows, great shower, free WiFI, Ipads... More

The "tents" are amazing! They have non-interrupted views of Uluru, which is just perfect to wake to to! Luxuriously appointed and include every item you could possibly need for your visit. The table 131 dinner under the stars was a fantastic opportunity. But being there in winter meant sitting in the dark was freezing! Although again well catered by providing... More

Great place to stay as a once in a lifetime experience. Easy to get to with airport pickup Staff helpful, food great and lots of experiences on offer included in room rate Only criticism is all meals are set no choice. Southern Ocean Lodge offers a standard everyday menu plus a special this would work better.
