I agree it is not a “TRUE” five star hotel, like you would except to find in the cities. But probably the best out here. Three adults stayed three nights. The room was big, plenty of space to move around in and also put three suite cases. Large clean bathroom. Very large balcony with small table and two chairs. Two... More

Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. View Uluru and Kata Tjuta up close and personal. Guided tours are available or you can walk about on your own. No big throngs of tourists. Lovely rooms and amenities. The hotel staff was very helpful.

If you want a really great, unique lodging experience in Uluru and can afford to spend $2500 US a day, there's Latitude 131. If not, your options are limited. Sails in the Desert looked like the best of the rest, and maybe it actually is, but if I were to make a second trip to Uluru, I would look elsewhere.... More

The setting is decent, the suite was large, and some of the employees were great, but there are problems. the entire experience is uneven. I would stay elsewhere next time. first, the room I was in had 2 A/C units, both of which were very loud, with metal on metal noise. so I asked them to fix it. They came... More

No matter where you stay in Uluru the beauty of Uluru the rock is what draws everyone to this beautiful place. Sails was lovely the staff very friendly we found everyone happy to be working there which makes a difference to the people staying. The pool was so lovely and cold that it made being in the heat more bearable.... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel within the Ayers Rock Resorts complex. Since we spent most of our time touring Uluru and Kata Tjuta, we didn’t take advantage of many of the resorts offerings. Our room was comfortable, clean, and modern. The hotel grounds, lobby area, and entrance are beautiful. We especially enjoyed the Aboriginal artwork. Buffet breakfast... More

Very welcoming on arrival - long queue to check in but got fresh flannels to cool down with and a lovely apple drink. Our room wasn't ready which was a shame as you would expect them to plan rooms on flight arrivals as only a certain number of flights a day. Never the less our bags were stored securely away... Dear eee295, Thank you for your review. It is concerning to hear your bathroom was not as clean as should be expected. The Housekeeping team has been notified and will check for these issues in rooms more carefully. It is equally concerning to hear of the poor service in the restaurant. The Manager has been notified of your experience. We... More

The service at reception and the restaurants was quite good. accommodation itself is quite dated. Beds very comfortable. Air conditioning worked good. Room reasonably clean. carpet and trays with glasses on dirty. good size TV. These are the things the hotel lacked: Things i am used to getting when i travel: No tissues , no free biscuits, no cotton buds.no... More

My husband & I visit Australia approximately once per year to visit family & always take a trip someplace we have never seen in the country. This time it was Ayers Rock & we were very pleased with the entire 4 day trip. We arranged to stay at Sails in the Desert & were happy with our accommodation. The reception... More

Friendly, helpful staff. Very handy to local shops and activities. Buffet breakfast with staff on hand to make pancakes etc was a wonderful extra. Regular shuttle buses (free) are handy. Large pool area with plenty of chairs and banana chairs to laze around on.
