A very comfortable hotel with great staff! Loved receiving the welcome drink on arrival - made for a unique Uluru experience. Being able to see the rock from almost everywhere in Yulara was a great novelty. While the rooms were very comfortable, the bathrooms are in need of a bit of love. The food in buffet restaurant was great compared... More

This hotel was a really good and comfortable place to stay. The staff were most welcoming and enthusiastic. The food was good and they had a nice gift selection with an interesting "artist in residence". It was a great base to go out and explore Australia's iconic Uluru (Ayers Rock) and Kata Tjuta (The Olgas), plus other attractions like camel... More

I had, from occasionally in the past reading not always good reviews about this hotel and not having too high expectations in an obviously limited accommodation area. However we were pleasantly surprised. It was spacious, clean, and had a very nice pool set near the restaurants. The beds were very comfortable, the quality of linen high on them. The gardens and birds in them... More

Excellent helpful friendly staff on checking in and throughout our stay. Room was very clean and nice, bathroom a little outdated, but u are in the middle of nowhere!! so no complaints really...lots of different eating places and a little town centre only 150m walk with everything you need, cafes, supermarket, tourist centre, fashion shops, post office etc..as we were... This is without question the best place to stay when visiting Uluru~ ensure you get breakfast included in the deal (often cheaper on travel portals than the hotel site). POSITIVES * Wet towel on welcoming * Efficient check in including confirming all the tours booked irrespective NOT done through hotel. * Friendly and efficient staff inspire not many know where... We stayed at Sails in the Desert which is only a 10 minute drive from the airport at Uluru. There is a complimentary shuttle bus that moves between the various hotel/campgrounds and their associated shops and the town centre. Sails is a first class resort and the staff are exceptionally helpful. There is a viewing area about 10 mins easy... More

Of all the bookings we made in Australia, this was the one I stressed about the most. Everything at Uluru is more expensive than it would be in a populated area. Everything has to be trucked in, and that makes prices a little weird. So I worried - should I stay within a sensible budget and book the motel that... More

Is it 5 star? Probably not, but it is the best accomodation in this complex at Uluru. Is it cheap? No but nothing here is,- not surprising given its very remote location. We stayed for 5 nights in a Superior room on the 3rd floor room close to reception, dining areas and the pool and we loved it. We initially... More
