A beautiful resort that is well equipped with free DIY laundry facilities, prices for food and beverage were not over exaggerated and the laid back atmosphere made you feel very welcome. Red Ochre spa is a must, the hot rock massage was the most professional and well executed massage I have ever had (thanks Jemma). The pool area is welcoming... More

We stayed at Sails for my parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary. The all the staff were attentive, friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Reception sent a complimentary bottle of champagne to Mum & Dad's room and on the night of their 50th the restaurant made a beautiful desert plate for them. I would highly recommend staying... More

Although a little pricey, Sails was a great place to stay while we were visiting Uluru. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve ever had, and the staff, especial our waiter Ritin, were very helpful.

You have to stay at the yulara resort to see uluru there is no real choice. So if you have to then sails is ok. The rooms have recently been renovated so they are very nice. The food is very ordinary for the price you pay. It is walking distance to the resort shops but it will take 30 minutes... More

My wife and I were part of a 12 person Private Charter Tour. This Hotel complex was the accommodation that we used while at Yulara looking at the big red rocks called Uluru and KataTjuta. Very pleased with the choice, pleasant helpful staff, clean and quiet.

Let's start with the obvious: this hotel is very expensive, but so are the of the hotels in Ayer's Rick due to the limited offer and remoteness of the area. That being said, we felt that Sails in the Desert was fantastic. The room was very spacious and beautifully appointed. The pool area is a true oasis in the desert.... More

Me and my husband stayed at Sails 2 nights. We liked lobby area which roof was covered with sails and had stylish interior matching with aboriginal art and bush style. We were not so impressed by housing area. Seemed to be so 1980ties, too much resort for my taste. The room was quite nicely renovated. I loved the aboriginal elements... More

While Uluru is breathtaking and a wonderful place to visit for a couple days, the Sails in the Desert Resort was less than wonderful. Our room on the second floor, room 229, was spacious and clean. I should say, it was clean upon check-in; however, that was the only time it was cleaned. We left the room at 5:45am to... More

The Ayers Rock community is well run and organized. If you stay at their properties, they pick you up from the airport and will take you back for your flight. They all have transport to all nearby activities. Sails in the Desert is one of the nicer hotels, thus pricier. The rooms are nice as is the pool and restaurant... More

We enjoyed our stay here, and considering the limited accomodation options available in the area we were happy with our choice. We weren't expecting five star standards, and on that basis we were satisfied with the accomodation. We booked a standard room for three nights and had a room on the ground floor. The bathroom was a disabled access bathroom... More
