Don't get me wrong, this is not an average place to stay, but to say that it is a 5* resort is a stretch. Before I start, I should say that the service from ALL the staff was excellent, really very good. The hotel was clean, rooms were of a decent size, but the room was certainly not 5 star... More

Dear CameronTLondon, Thankyou for your review regarding your recent stay at Sails in the Desert. It is pleasing to see you enjoyed the majority of your stay with us in the Australian Outback. The Maintenance team has been advised of the lift problem and have since resolved the issue. It is disappointing that the food did not meet your expectations... More

When we visited your only choices are all part of a single complex. the complex is a wee bit strange since it's the only thing for miles and miles - it's like a frontier town where all the cowboys are tourists. That said you should go to Uluru (but please don't climb it!), and if you do this is a... More

Friendly staff, big rooms that were clean and well appointed and a lovely big balcony where we could relax in the sun (if we had time and inclination). While we spent very little time in our rooms as we were on the go most of the time, it was a great retreat, quiet and secluded. Our room backed on to... More

We stayed here for five nights and really enjoyed it. The room was excellent with a partial view of Uluru. The whole resort was spotless. The service was good and the room cleaning staff were excellent.

A must do holiday to Uluru, we had a wonderful holiday. Sails in the desert was the perfect place to come back to each evening after a wonderful day of adventure. 10 out 10 for Sails.... Make sure you allow some time to spend in the day spa at the end of the day.

Visiting Uluru has been on my must see travel destinations and I decided that when I went I would do it in style and would stay at Sails. The quality of accommodation, food and services is outstanding considering its location. Yes it's pricey, but so are some mediocre hotels in cities, but again you have to take location and cost... Upon arrival at Sails we were greeted by friendly staff who were extremely helpful and happy to deal with our bags. The main reception building was very tastefully decorated and reception staff very friendly and helpful also. Our room was beautiful and also very tastefully decorated. We only had the opportunity to spend one night but we would definitely go... More

This was my second stay at Sails in the Desert and it was every bit as good as I remembered. The rooms and facilities are excellent, and the meals were of the highest quality - the breakfast buffet was amazing. The staff were absolutely delightful - pleasant, polite, friendly, efficient, and so very natural. Every staff member I encountered was... More

not sure it's 5 star. Limited dining due to season and rooms clean and comfortable (great bed). Outdoor terrace needs attention as there doesn't seem to be a lot of maintenance and cleaning happening in these spaces. Enjoyed our time here but it isn't easy to get around if you have mobility issues. I checked before booking and was told... More

Dear smithwm, Thankyou for providing feedback in regards to your recent stay at Sails in the Desert. We indeed do have rooms available for guests with mobility issues and it is unfortunate that your request close to an elevator was not followed through. I am sure our reception team would have been more than happy to correct the situation once... More

Every one should visit the Rock at least once in their life. The ayers rock resort is a great location. Sails has great spacious rooms with wonderful service. If I went again I would stay at a cheaper hotel at the resort as you can use the facilities from other hotels. Masked sure you visit the lookouts to watch the... More
