This is an oasis in the middle of Australia. Beautiful resort set in the desert outside of Ayres Rock. Excellent service and attention to client's needs. Very quiet hotel though, not a place to go to party. Walking around the grounds is like being on another planet. Stunning atmosphere.

Definately what I would class as five star accommodation. There is a manopoly at the rock so do not expect anything fantastic. The shower is in the bath and when we got there there was not soap. Some staff where more than helpful others had no idea. When to the resturarent for a late lunch and order a bottle of... More

Our room was very spacious, the grounds beautifully maintained considering the desert location. The staff were friendly and very courteous and the breakfast was very sumptuous. I would highly recommend the Sounds of Silence Dinner. I was not disappointed at all.

All of the hotels in the resort are owned by the same company each one targeting different customers. Sails is their top hotel. The rooms are large, clean and pleasant. The food is decent and the staff are friendly. However, the bathrooms do not have separate showers, the room terraces are neglected, service is friendly but inefficient - we booked... More

My wife and I stayed at Sails in the Desert. It is nicely landscaped and well maintained. We had a good breakfast in the restaurant. Everyone was helpful and accommodating. The hotel is fairly spread out, so you do have to walk a bit. A short walk to the main village. You will need to go there to purchase a... More

We flew to visit Ayers Rock. We stayed one night at the hotel. This is probably one of the nicest hotel there before going really expensive. Our room is very nice and roomy with balcony located on the first floor. Cant complain about the room. We wanted to do the "Sound of Silence" dinner however it was overbooked. I made... More

We were there July 26th - July 30th 2014: Hotel landscaping was excellent; hotel lobby and restaurant excellent; breakfast staff and servers outstanding! Our Terrace room was OK with 2 exceptions: bath needed to updated, the tub w/showerhead and fixtures were, I think 1970s Holiday Inn style; room was clean and well appointed; the "Terrace" was large, clean and well... My wife and I literally came overnight from Sydney to attend the Tali Wiru dinner for her birthday. I was very impressed with our accommodation. The room size was enormous, comfortable and well appointed and much like any good hotel room should be. Our Tali Wiru dinner was an amazing experience and I shall write about that in the correct...
