We stayed at the outback pioneer for two nights. The room itself was basic and clean, it fit all our requirements. There were tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge within the room too. We enjoyed the bar area, staff were helpful and professional in all areas of the resort and a guest kitchen was a good addition. Where... More

Come to see the rock. But the average person probably can't afford to stay in comfort. Rediculous prices to stay in relative crappy rooms. This was s small room with 2 bunk beds in a block of around 6 rooms. Basic accomodation for $260 a night. BBQ is not good. Food not that great and you cook it yourself. What... More

Greeted by big queues at reception at 1pm (which seem to be a feature of the place) and which we suffered only to be told that rooms weren't ready until 3pm - which is a bit rich when you consider that they throw you out of them by 10am. Must be one heck of a cleaning regime, either that or... More

Hello BazSingapore Our queue times at the hotel are a direct result of the flight business that arrives into our township within a 2 hour period. We progress our guests through as quickly as possible given this short period of peak arrival time. It is also this factor that has our guests departing at the same time that gives housekeeping... Do not expect anything fancy and you won't be disappointed. It was the budget option so our expectations were not very high. The rooms are dated and in need of refurbishment but overall the hotel served our needs quite well and we would certainly return. We had breakfast included in our package and it was terrific, the restaurant served lovely... More

We stayed at the Outback Pioneer last month, as a family of 4. I have to say, the communication and booking beforehand was good and the staff has been very friendly and helpful. The room as good, we have a double and 2 single beds - a little bit bigger then the average hotel room I would say. The bathroom... More

Hello Juliane G Thank you for reviewing your stay of the Outback Pioneer Hotel and Lodge. Great to see you have had a good experience with the staff prior to and including your stay. The Ayers Rock Resort pricing is reflective of it location, as most products used to operate the hotels are shipped over 1500 kilometres to this location... More

It took us only a few minutes to drive from Connellan Airport to the Voyages resort village and check into the Outback Pioneer Lodge. All accommodations for Uluru/Ayers Rock area are at the Voyages resort complex. Room was basic with a double and single bed, small fridge, and coffee and tea making supplies. Wifi was available for purchase and worked... More

They had a very efficient check-in and held our luggage until the rooms were ready upon our check-in process. The rooms are very clean despite warning of possible bug infestation as this is in the desert. There was a refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, effective heating system (got cold at night as we visited in June- their winter). There is laundry soap... More

Hello ChillyWilly2 June July is the best time of year to visit this Uluru. The colder nights inhibit many of the creepy crawlies you were warned about. It is great to see that you found check in efficient and the rooms clean and tidy for your stay. Thank you for sharing this experience Trip advisor for us. Regards Mauri Van... More

Recently stayed at the Outback Pioneer Hotel & Lodge. Reasonably priced (compared to some of the other Yulara options) and clean and tidy. Our room had a queen sized bed and two singles for the kids. Buffet breakfast was yummy with plenty of choices. Fully equipped, communal kitchen also available. Make sure you do the camel ride to the Sounds... More

Hello Karen B Totally agree the Camel tours and Sounds of Silence are both great experiences. Having these two together as a combination is a fantastic experience. I have personally only experienced one at a time. Can just imagine it would be a highlight for your trip and a memorable experience. Regards Mauri Van Den Bosch General Manager More

This hotel could best be described as the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Ayers rock has three resorts that start at really expensive which is the outback pioneer resort. The next two go even more crazy expensive. Forgetting the cost, why was this so bad? Well, the manager of the hotel was one of the rudest staff I... More

Hello Tim1972999 Thank you for taking the time to review your recent experience at Outback Pioneer Lodge. The Lodge component of this property is a backpacker-style hostel accommodation, and at $46.00 per night also the cheapest bedding available to our guests at Ayers Rock Resort. I agree with you that from this 4 bed mixed dorm price point, upgrading to... More

I arrived in Yulara as a group of 4 people without making a reservation (I know a little bit silly) so when we decided to stay there for the night we asked the information centre for a budget accomodation. The staff at the check in was very hlpful and showed us all the available options, we then selected for an... More

Hello Ag A The Budget room with bathroom you stayed in is my favourite of the rooms we have available at the Outback Pioneer Hotel. It has all the basic facilities you need for a comfortable stay to ensure you are well rested and have the batteries recharged for sight-seeing the area.
