We only had time to stay one night and had booked a budget room so were delighted to be offered a free upgrade. The room was clean comfortable and had lots of hot water to wash off the red dust There were a variety of places to eat for all budgets and no alcohol was served at the bar unless you... I enjoyed my stay here. This was mainly due to visiting the Uluru, and I am glad I came out here. I was staying in the part of the Outback Pioneer which operated as a hotel. There was also a part which operated as bunkhouse style accommodation with a central toilet block, self catering kitchen and laundry facility - these... More

We arrived in the evening after the whole day visiting the area and seeing the sunset by Uluru. Once again, they could not find the reservation in their system. We explained we had made it in the morning and provided some additional details (agent, type of room, reservation number, etc…). They still were doubting we had a reservation. There was... More

Our room was excellent. We paid $214 for bed and breakfast as we received 10% entertainment book discount. Very good value. The breakfast was full buffet and excellent quality. They even provided breakfast boxes when we were going out on an early tour. We would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

I've just returned from a 3 night stay at the Outback Pioneer with a friend. We stayed in a comfortable room with a single bed and a queen. Rooms was well presented and clean. Bathrooms we're well stocked and again clean and tidy. Rooms appeared to be serviced daily with new towels and new bathroom items but beds not made,... More

Hello Danni G It is definitely true that we cover all the basic needs for our guests that are primarily here to sightsee Uluru and Kuta Tjuta. Housekeeping generally should make beds whilst servicing rooms, so I apologies that they haven’t done this on this occasion. Beds would only be left if personal belonging are on them as staff will... We paid $260 for what was called a basic motel style room. Back east accommodation like this would cost about $65 a night. Obviously you do expect to pay considerably more in a remote location but the only redeeming feature of the accommodation was good quality towels and linen. Very small, ugly room with cheap and nasty furnishing (or lack... More

Hello ebonygirl At Ayers Rock Resort we have many varying styles of accommodation. The cost of an upgrade from the room type you have stayed in is only marginal and this may have been more suited to your expectations whilst staying at Ayers Rock resort. It is very disappointing to learn of the gentleman you experienced on reception, as this... More

We arrived and were surprised to find out the rooms hand no shower and toilet. We upgraded for a ridicules cost but they couldn't find a room for 2 nights so we had to change rooms (check out and recheck in). The staff was not very helpful and the recheck in took a lot of time. They were unsure of... More

Hello YaEp Thanks for your review. I can see that you have stayed at a time of high occupancy which has made it difficult for the staff to relocate your rooming requirements. I do apologise if they have come across as unhelpful and slow on this occasion whilst assisting you in this matter, but hope they were able to keep... More

The Outback Pioneer Hotel is located within the Ayers Rock Resort premises - consisting of three other accommodation options, all varying to different budget scales. I recently stayed at the Outback Pioneer Hotel with my parents for two nights, total cost of $546 AUD. Although considered pricey by some, bear in mind the hotel is located in a remote location... Hello yokomeshii Thank you again for another review. The review you have left of the Outback Pioneer is very detailed and I am gratefully you have shared your experience of your stay here. Reasonable value for money. Found the staff to be excellent and friendly. Hotel is basic but comfortable and gave the correct advise regarding pick up times, sun rise, sunset etc. No issues checking in, had to ask for a copy of the bill when leaving, it was 100% correct but they seemed reluctant to give me a copy.
