Our room was clean, comfortable and a great size. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It's easy to get around and our experience of the area was superb. The pool isn't great - but I guess that's not the priority on this kind of holiday. The takeaway kitchen offers a good choice of great food.

We stayed in the male and female dormerty room for three nights because everything was already booked out. It was nice to get a free pickup for AAT Tours at the airport to the hostel and they also operated free around the resort. The free shows at the towns square were nice as well. There were many flies around everywhere... More

Well equipped and very comfortable Despite it being a budget room (all that was available at time of booking) Very pleasantly surprised It is very expensive throughout the resort but was prepared for that from other reviews.

Due to availability we were forced to stay in a shared dorm at the pioneer lodge. The beds were reasonably comfortable, rooms are very basic and the toilets and showers are shared amongst many cabins. For the little amount paid I guess you can't ask for much, so therefore I would rate this place as okay... Staff was friendly. No... More

The hotel is different to what we expected, at first glance it appears to be a rough and ready hotel, however it was not that at all. The room we had was spacious and clean. The outdoor catering is not something we expected, but again we really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food, cooking your own dinner on the outside... More

For such a remote area the hotel was fairly well equipped. The rooms were clean, a bit of maintenance issues but to be expected at this size resort and with the tourists visiting here. The pool was nice, however two bandaids that were there the day before were still by the stair area to the pool so upkeep is sporadic.... More

We were a bit anxious that as staying here cost a lot of out budget, it may not live up to expectations. We were really impressed though & it was one of the highlights of our trip. We stayed at outback hostel in a four bed dorm room. We had the room to ourselves though which was a real bonus... More

Outback Pioneer Hotel has been the worst experience in our honey moon. The reception seems a goo place, but the rooms are very dirty and the air conditioning didn't work. Never again, but unfortunately there are no alternatives in Uluru area.

This comment is about the lodge where I stayed not the other accommodations available in the resort. We book a lodge with 4 beds. Price was ok, and that's all, from there, everything is a rip-off. Tours, lunch, breakfast, drinks, everything. Lodge was clean same with toilets (I can imagine that is not easy to maintain perfectly clean a room... More

Hello Francisco P Self-catering and self-drive with a hire car are great options for those mindful of budgets and to keep costs down. Also good to be able to self-pace when exploring the region. The Resort itself offers many options for our guests to dine and these are all aimed at various tastes and budgets with the Pioneer Kiosk offer... More
