The hotel is basic but has everything you need. I just found the whole destination over priced. The hotel could be described as a motel. I didn't use the restaurant facilities at all so can't comment on those ones. The rooms are clean and tidy. And the destination is fantastic so with all the walks and visits you don't really... We found this to be an excellent place to stay and eat. Reasonably priced in both the hotel and eating. Add to this the helpful staff. Would have awarded excellent except the lighting to the rooms when going to or from your room after dark was non existence and a little dangerous. This did not seem to be a problem... More

I enjoyed my time at the hostel because the place was kept clean, the food at the little pub was good, and there was pretty decent wifi throughout the place. Specifically I traveled to Uluru to celebrate my birthday, and I found that this hostel helped make my visit to the Outback special. The room I stayed in were Spartan... More

Great little place to stay close to the rock. Not 5 star but comfortable with helpful staff and a good honest pub within the complex. Very well run and very clean. Many options for accommodation and well priced.

Traveling as 2 couples on an AAT Kings tour, we selected the budget hotel option. Very happy that we did. The room was very clean and had all you could want. There were 2 sets of bunk beds in our room. Back to our childhood! The room opened onto the outdoors and was very quiet. We rose early to see... More

Hello Dandydag The key to seeing a really brilliant sunrise is having an early start. Great to see you found the room clean and comfortable. Regards General Manager Outback Pioneer Hotel and Lodge More

My room provided extra towels and blankets as it gets cold at nights in winter (when I went) as I didn't bring a lot and definitely none of the above so I wasn't suited for a dorm. Was surprised with a TV, fridge, bunk bed and air con which was great as was expecting just an ordinary room without amenities.... More

We were in room 408 and found this hotel just right for this location. Not to far to drive to Uluru and Olgas. Room and bed comfortable, would have liked a toaster in room. Restaurant and dining options really good. Bush setting excellent

Hello Faye D Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately toasters set off the fire alarm system in the hotel and having the fire brigade out becomes quite costly. We do have toasters available for guest use in our lodge kitchen as well as full kitchen facilities. Glad to see you enjoyed the stay. Regards General Manager Outback Pioneer Hotel and Lodge More

I stayed in a standard room at the Outback Pioneer Hotel and Lodge for 5 nights. I was very happy with the choice I made to stay at this accomodation site within the resort and would happily stay here again (and honestly can't wait to return). The room was simple but had everything I needed - a comfortable bed, fridge,... More

Very unusual in that this place catered for all types of travellers from those requiring low cost to those prepared to pay. We stayed in a hotel room, and at the high end we had no complaints. But was it value for money? We stayed as part of an extensive road trip, and there were other places that provided better... More

Hello Ian R There is plenty to love out here in the Red Centre. The Outback Pioneer being just one of them. National Parks and the Resort are separate entities, however there is detailed information in the Manta book which is normally given to each guest at check in. Apologies if this wasn't received. As all accommodation in Uluru/Ayers Rock Resort, it is very expensive. So I stayed in the Lodge, in a 20 bed female only dormitory for four nights. The floor was disgusting an after the few days they did clean it, the stench of bleach was so overwhelming it gave me a headache. Also, the blankets on each bed are not... More
