Very convenient to stay in Ayers Rock but ridiculously expensive. We chose the cheapest alternative- 2 beds in a shared room of 4, which cost $92 for the night. Although we booked a month in advance, they had us in separate rooms despite stating we wanted the same. We were put in the same room but across from each other... More

YHA affiliated but you'll be lucky to find anything for less than $200 per night. Then you have to travel ages to get to Uluru and the other sites. There is no running water in the room. To have a room with toilet, bathroom, running water or house keeping will cost two or three times more. It's a monopoly so... More

I was with my boyfriend in outback pionneer last august. Everything was perfect. The location, the room, the staff...... They tried to help you in anything you could need. There is a very funny pub with live music. You can also buy differents kind of meat (beef, canguroo , cocodrile.....) and cook by yourself in a barbaque. So for me... More

When looking into a place to stay at Ayres Rock, I was surprised by how expensive it was, I chose the Outback Pioneer lodge, purely on the basis that it was the cheapest hotel available. I was quite surprised on how dated the resort was, it felt like something from the 70’s and I was even more surprised when I... More

We chose the 3 course meal deal and we were happy we had done so. Its a large dining area but service is extremely fast and efficient. Start with the buffet which has a selection of salads and sushi type offerings as well as soup and bread rolls. We chose barramundi for mains and it was served with vegetables all... More

We stayed for 3 nights, and found it was a great mid level accommodation. We ate in the restaurant the first night, and used the BBQ option the second two nights, both were great options. And the full breakfast was included in our accommodation, I would recommend this as a great option at Ayers Rock.

I stayed in a 4-bed dorm. The rooms are small but good enough for a night or two. The bathroom building is open without heaters and can get very cold in winter. The resort provides a free shuttle service to get around, it's easy to get around by foot though. There are a few beautiful Uluru lookouts. The bar is... More

I chose the hotel because of the more reasonable rates and was not disappointed with any aspect of our stay. We had two stays each time for two nights. Room 421 was quieter than 301 in regards to passing foot traffic. There was live entertainment at the bar each evening but we old not hear it in the room.

Our room at Pioneer was extremely comfortable, albeit a little tired. It was at the end of the ring road so it was quiet. We were disappointed that sometimes after dark, we were unable to park in our parking area and so had to park our rental car on the sand. Another things was the lack of a paved path,... More

Hi Graham B Thank you for your review. I appreciate your feedback and am really pleased that you enjoyed your stay. I am sorry however that one of our porters was not on hand to assist you with transporting your luggage as I appreciate the red centre dirt can be difficult to navigate. We do try to provide a range... More
