The room was comfortable, quiet with thick curtains for a restful night's sleep. Bathroom with bath and shower, large vanity unit and of course, a toilet. Ample towels provided and beds made, bathroom cleaned every day. The mini fridge in the room was exceptionally quiet. Tea, coffee, milk and kettle provided. Resort facilities included buffet restaurant, bar with live music,... More

Went there for dinner. Excellent Outback atmosphere. Live music. Friendly staff and reasonably priced food. A good bar as well. We had pizza and were very impressed. Thin pizzas with vegetarian option. You could have burger or chips. There was also an option for BBQ. You bought your meat etc and then did the BBQ yourself. The next night we... More

We chose the Outback Pioneer because it was the least expensive option in Ayers Rock Resort for a private bedroom and bathroom. We expected it to feel like a barely tolerable motel and thought it would be a huge downgrade from the luxury hotels we had just stayed at in Sydney (using points). I am so happy to say that... Good value for money in this pricey location. As everything is quite pricey in the Uluru region and we had paid a fortune at Kings Canyon we were delighted with the room, the staff and the value of this accommodation. Parking at the door, a nice walk to the town centre and the fact that it is removed from the... More

Great budget option in a very expensive art of the world. We booked a double room which had own bathroom and 2 double bunks. Unfortunately the top bunks are the lowest I have seen so it is not comfortable for person below to sit up in bed. I am 5'2" and found it okay but taller people would be challenged.... More

Great little place in Yulara, the Uluru resort. Clean, well-appointed, good food on the spot. Helpful staff. Lots of Tibetans stayed there when we went to see His Holiness the Dalai Lama in June. It's probably the most economical of the Yulara hotels, but it was just fine for us!

They call it a block, I call it a cell block. In their defence, we did not book early enough to get a decent room. All that was left was the quad share. When you open the door, you're on your bunk! Luckily we only had to sleep in the cell. Seriously, it's just over three single beds wide and... More

Hello Jason c Dormitory style accommodation is the accommodation you have stayed in during your stay. The dorms sizes here at the Outback Pioneer Hotel and Lodge are fairly standard for this type of accommodate throughout the world. I can understand that the accommodation has been unsuitable for your needs at this time and perhaps as you mention booking ahead... More

We had been camping for more than a week and we're happy and impressed with the facilities. The rooms were large, clean and a classic hotel room. We were surprised that you could not buy any food within the complex between 3 and 5...having just arrived just after 3. The resort township however had a well equipped and reasonably priced... Hello Moonglowing Thanks for the review. After more than a week camping it would be good to have a clean and comfortable room, great to see we could accommodate that for you. The Bough House which trades for breakfast and dinner offers a full hot buffet breakfast for $35.00, however this is available for pre purchase the day prior for... More
