We booked the Pioneer hotel as part of a Virgin tour package. On arrival we were offered a complimentary cold drink and advised on where would could find out more about tours available. It doesn't matter if you book your tours with the hotel or in the town square (ten min walk) they are with the same companies and the... More

customer service must be unheard of. Although staff were polite to your face, despite chewing gum as they spoke, we had to wait almost three hours to book into the hotel having arrived on the 1030 flight from Cairns, check in being 3pm but the rooms weren't ready for us but were for others!! Staff were laughing and joking around... More

This was a very comfortable place to stay for 2 nights and enjoy the beauty of the red center. I had a lot of fun with the motorcycle tour, walking tours, and loved the BBQ restaurant. I stayed in my own room with a private bathroom. It was not luxurious, but I didn't need it to be. I found the... More

We stayed here instead of one of the other 4 or 5 places at Ayers Rock because of the price...We were only there 2 nights and weren't going to be in the room much...The room was dated but that doesn't concern us much...The breakfast buffet was very good...

Pioneer Lodge (Backpacker style rooms) Very basic accommodation (room with 4 bunk beds) was sufficient for a night's sleep but quite deer for $46 per person. The aircon/heater was a bit loud for some of us. What really pissed us off was the dinner at the Bbq restaurant. You can pay $23 for 3 sausages and salad bar. You get... More

The resort is quite artificial, I would bit stay longer than required to see Uluru and visit the national parks. The room did not have heating, and it gets cold in the desert at night... It was clean but the bathroom is poor equipped. Good economic solution for the resort, but don't spend more time than required.

Hello maceesp The winter period in the red centre can get quite cold during the evening. The Outback Pioneer Hotel and Lodge we provide heating in all our rooms, and on request have extra heaters and blankets available to our guests. The reception team are very able and willing to assist with any requests of this nature to ensure our... More

I enjoyed my stay here. This was mainly due to visiting the Uluru, and I am glad I came out here. I was staying in the part of the Outback Pioneer which operated as a hotel. There was also a part which operated as bunkhouse style accommodation with a central toilet block, self catering kitchen and laundry facility - these... More

We arrived in the evening after the whole day visiting the area and seeing the sunset by Uluru. Once again, they could not find the reservation in their system. We explained we had made it in the morning and provided some additional details (agent, type of room, reservation number, etc…). They still were doubting we had a reservation. There was... More

Hello delfing Over the last day or 2 I have taken some time to look into the issues that transpired for you at check-in. First of all let me apologise for the staff members handling of your check in.
