good air conditioned room, good bed (needed after a day touring) friendly staff, good restaurant with extensive menu, may be a long walk away from your room. Bar with happy atmosphere. Don't try to pet the dogs...its most likely a dingo.

Kings canyon Resort is located in the quietest lovely natural setting. Annoying that our room did not have parking near the room. Carrying our luggage from the park to the room was extra effort we didn't need after a long day of travel. Our room was clean, large and great high ceilings. All the facilities of a motel. Tap dripped... More

Stay period: 26th Nov(one night) Accommodation: Spa room Price paid: Around about $275 Pros: Really nice jacuzzi with a private view of a rock wall and some trees. Everything was contained within the small area and 10mins drive to kings canyon. Decent food in the restaurant though really pricey (to be expected in such a deserted area). The staff was... More

We stayed in a spa room and although the whole idea of having a spa in such an arid location seemed ridiculous the room was large, clean and comfortable. There was a smell in the bathroom -possibly mould but it certainly seemed clean enough. There appeared to be 3 spa rooms in each hut and you would need to drive... More

Kings Canyon is right out in the desert, so do not expect luxury - you won't get it. There is no mobile reception and only satellite internet. The room was fairly basic but clean. However, the air conditioning could not cope with the daytime heat, and some maintenance tlc was needed (e.g. loose tap spindle and damaged door base). Dining... More

This Resort was a big disappointment. It does not live up to its website blurb. Reception was welcoming and friendly and we were given a powered pitch for our hired motorhome. I realise that insects are part of Australian living but the variety and concentration that I found in the shower/toilet block was startling. My wife refused to go in!... More

I'll start with the positives as these are the reasons why you'd stay here: location to the canyon is excellent, friendly and helpful staff, rooms are large. Unfortunately that's it. (To management: if you respond to this, please address the negatives below as I'm really stretched to even list these positives. Please focus on improvements. I don't mind spending money... More

Stayed in a triple occupancy room for one night in September 2014. Room was located some way from the reception, but as we had our own car this was not a problem. Parking was just outside the room. Overall, impressions were good, the room was clean and tidy and for the one night more than met our needs. However compared... More

we paid more than $400 per night for a double room. The rooms are indeed huge but when you come in the toxic sewage stench of the sceptic tanks is overwhelming. I got a severe asthma attack. They kindly moved to send us to another room but they all seemed to have the same problem. In addition you could not... More

We booked this hotel from the UK and went for a Budget Double Room with shared bathroom. What we got was a hut reminiscent of Pontins 50 years ago. Plastic tiles on the floor, smelt of damp, cups but no other crockery or utensils. A bed in each corner of the room a small round table in the middle and... More
