Stayed one night in a spa room but wished we'd had two as needed more time to explore the area. The rim walk was amazing but exhausting. No problems with the level of service or quality of the room. Only concern was the food. Over priced and our fish meal was terrible. 90% batter with a slither of fish. No... More

We stayed in a spa room and found it very comfortable. It was huge with a lovely bathroom, a separate spa bath that was enclosed but enabled you to look out at the stars and a small verandah with table and chairs. The food and drink was very over-priced, but then again you're a captive audience. There really is nowhere... More

Stayed for 2 nights in November to do the rim walk and luckily struck a cool weather change. The spa room was worth the money to return to and relax in the air-conditioning. Ate at the bistro and found the food better than almost everywhere, these guys can cook YUM. Gluten free options. Friendly staff. Clean. Comfortable beds. No internet.... More

We had two nights here in a deluxe spa room. The private view from the spa was brilliant. The room was very clean and comfortable. We ate at bistro and were surprised by the quality of the food and the excellent service from a very friendly staff. Unfortunately it rained very heavily on our first day here and we were... More

The cheap option of a lodge room almost ruined my holiday in Australia. The lodge rooms are worse than shabby whilst the toilet block reminded me of camping holidays. The only saving grace is the restaurant but don't look at the prices! Scenery is stunning tho which helps to overcome the lodge experience.

This was a nice surprise for us after staying in Glen Helen. Completly the opposite. It seemed to us that we got upgranded and got a Delux room with spa. Very nice to sit in there and have a look out in the open. Clean room and we saw that some sections must have been closed for renvoation and cleaning... More

Yes, Kings Canyon is a long drive from Alice Springs - we did a self-drive, taking 6 hours with 4 stops on proper roads only - but, with hindsight, I'd ignore dreary Alice and concentrate on Kings Canyon and Uluru. We stayed 1 night, did the Rim Walk at dawn before leaving for Uluru (4 hours with a long stop... More

We stayed in a backpackers cabin. It was clean and everything was all right, but the room does not look very esthetic. We recommend going in The Thyrsty Dingo Bar and having a drink there. The restaurant has huge steaks which are very good.

I really think that you should carefully examine why you want to visit Kings Canyon at all. It may be that you're on a 4x4 safari along the unmade Larapinta Drive and if that's your bag, then a stay at Kings makes some sense. However, if you've come to see Ayers Rock and you think that you may as well... More

Kings canyon is a long 5 hour drive from Alice springs and 3 hours from Uluru so it was a disappointment to find the canyon is more cheddar gorge than Grand Canyon or the blue mountains outside Sydney. it really was not worth the trip although Uluru and the Olgars certainly were. The hotel is adequate given the location the... More
